All good

A bit difficult the communication

Large room, large kitchen and common area. Hostel generally reasonably clean. Sturdy bunk beds. Large lockers and towels included in price.

Extremely rude manager. There is obviously a language barrier but unfortunately her total contempt for guests transcends any communication barrier. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place before, which immediately soured the mood of my visit. There is only one small dimly-lit bathroom for each sex. The bed was uncomfortable and I could feel the springs in the very old and worn mattress. The large rooom I was in has no fans or A/C so requires the window facing the street to remain open for the space to be cool. This street is quite busy and has loud traffic noise until about 00:30. Better off spending a little more and staying in a guest house where you are actually welcomed, cared for and have a comfortable bed to sleep on.

When I arrived the location appeared closed and abandoned.

I liked the bed, the bathroom, and I enjoyed my stay there 😊.

Cleanliness was not on point The man running the place gave an awkward feeling, my girlfriend didn't feel at ease

This place is incredibly comfortable and convenient. I wish I had time to stay longer. It seems like it would be an ideal place to live. Thank you.

The best stay in Vanadzor!

The person who received me was very friendly and helpful (the owner's son or son in law)

the person in charge there was helpful, but weird He told me I left my door unlocked when I left for the day (turns out the lock doesn't always work) but since the door was closed I don't understand why he would try to get in (and it definitely wasn't to clean the room) The bathroom was not clean (shoe marks and pee stains on the floor) The bed was VERY creaky And the room I got was right above a busy noisy street, but that was nothing compared to the loud noises the residents of the hostel made... Literally standing by my door (which in fairness is adjacent to the entrance) and speaking loudly no matter how early or late it was... The kitchen is cute but very lacking, and plates and utensils were not always clean

Ok value for money for a short stay, centrally located, well equipped kitchen

The mattresses are rather used and have a distinct hole in the middle. It could be cleaner, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Staff was trying their best, but the guy in charge when we were there just isn't born to deal with customers. Closing the door when going for a pee and not getting drunk mid afternoon should be known minimum standards for staff even in the most basic of places....

The 6 bed dorm was really nice and spacious. It included nice big lockers and a table in the middle. The location of the hostel is great. Just a 10 minute walk from the bus station. The lady who checked me in and the owner of the property both seemed very lovely, although I only saw each of them for a very short time. There is a man who lives at the property and says he runs it for the owners. He took me on a tour of the Lori Region and we saw a lot. It was a shame that at times, it was a little uncomfortable with him (see comments below)

For the attention of other solo female travellers. I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this property for you after my experience here. If you're with others then it would be a nice place to stay. But I was made to feel quite uncomfortable at times during my stay. Especially when I was the only person staying there. The man who runs the property is quite forceful and doesn't take kindly to you saying "no thank you" when he offers you things. I'm aware it could be him just being hospitable but it might be better for him to accept when someone doesn't want to drink vodka with him, or doesn't want a massage from him rather than getting angry about it. Sorry for the very negative part of my review. The rest of my stay was great. I just wanted to make females aware that you could be made to feel extremely uncomfortable whilst staying there.
