How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI highly recommend Aspet B&B. The property is run by a lovely couple Ahunik and Somwel, who go out of their way to make you satisfied with your stay. They don’t speak English but Marie, their 15-year-old granddaughter speaks English fluently and I must say that I was truly impressed by how clever, polite and efficient she was while helping her grandmother in the kitchen, bringing dishes, translating our requests, etc. The breakfast was delicious and varied, everything home-made and home-grown, including home-baked bread and butter. Somewel was our driver and he took us on trips around Tatev at a very decent price and he didn’t mind waiting so we could spent as much time as we wanted, which I appreciated a lot. The place is located within a walking distance of the Tatev monastery, very quiet and with a beautiful view of the mountains.

Verified reviewI spent one very comfortable and cozy night at Aspet with the owners, Агуники and Самвел. They were the best hosts one could wish for - always friendly and cheerful and ready to help you with anything. I booked last minute and showed up at 20:00 virtually unannounced, yet Самвел appeared immediately to help me park in the snow and thirty minutes later Агуники had prepared one of the best dinners I've had in ages (everything homemade on the premises). On a cold and snowy winter's night, nothing could have been better. The location is excellent, right up the street from Tatev Monistary. The room I had was large and the bed was comfortable. The silence at night guarantees a proper night's sleep. The breakfast was again terrific, with everything homemade and fresh. I was sad to leave and will stay here again.
That I only stayed one night - I wish I could have stayed longer!

Verified reviewThe room was so big, and the kindness of the owners were amazing. The town is magic, in the middle of the mountains.
Maybe the "streets" inside the town wasn´t in good condition, but this was after the snow rain.

Verified reviewAghunik and Samvel run such a beautiful and peaceful B and B. When I visit Tatev, this is my favorite place to stay, not only because the rooms or comfortable and clean but also because the hosts are so welcoming, kind, and caring. And the food is incredible, with everything on the table made from scratch at home. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the best pick in town! You’ll leave relaxed and refreshed :)

Verified reviewThe best hosts I've ever met. Super friendly, I felt like we went to family for holidays. Very delicious food, everything was home made. We've ordered dinner twice and it was lovely, a lot of excellent local food, we were not able to eat everything. On the first evening host invited us for home made vodka with home made snacks, it was incredible experience. I recommend this place for everyone. 10/10 points

Verified reviewThe location is exceptional: gorgeous views, a very short walk to Tatev monastery, a beautiful hike in the mountains. You will experience true Armenian hospitality: homemade meals straight from the garden, homemade drinks, smiles, and care from the hosts. At night: fresh air, cozy linens, and an occasional church bell. You can also pet the friendly cats.

Verified reviewWe have decided to sleep in Aspet B&B on our way to Tatev monastery and wings of Tatev. The host was extremely care taking. She had prepared traditional Armenian fest dinner for all, asking us about our preferences. Everything was from their own garden. Rooms clean and cozy. Having all you need. Each room has a private bathroom. Asking us what time we would like dinner and breakfast. And making us feel at home and special guests at same time. If I have a chance to come back to this beautiful place, I will definitely choose Aspet B&B for our accommodation. There is a lot to see in area the monastery, the wings of Tatev, the unique swinging bridge, and more on the way from Yerevan. To ee as much as you can, it is better to stay overnight in Tatev.
Thank you for your feedback, we will be happy to meet again

Verified reviewTypical village house - right next to you there will be cows, ships and chicken - you will rather fell it by the smell than here or see. We were staying in the room right on the left side - next to us was the tooth of the neighbor’s building. When we’re taking meals on the balcony, a cat with three kittens came asking for food. It’s a quiet, homely and very nice place - and the hostess constantly doing things around the house, so you can imagine what it’s like - to run a house with animals, which is a great experience. There was Arunik’s granddaughter - a very smart and energetic girl around 14 y.o., who helped us - and other guests - with translation (the hostess speak Russian, but not very well). Both ladies are wonderful - hospitable, open, welcoming. They helped us a lot by showing another road from Tatev - because there was a breakage on the road and there was a huge traffic jam. I am happy we stayed at the house and met Mary and her grandma.

Verified reviewGreat location! It is in the heart of the village Tatev but there is so calm and you can hear only birds singing in a daytime. Hosts are awesome people! It is a must to try their homemade dinner and breakfast! One of my best stays on booking.com! Absolutely above my expectations!

Verified reviewWe had an amazing experience here, and absolutely recommend this place. The hosts are the kindest people and, even though they only spoke a bit of english, it was very easy to communicate with them. They helped so much in making our stay at Aspet unforgettable! It wasn´t part of our plan to stay in Tatev, but we had some car issues while we were there and decided to book in the last minute. It was a a big surprise that not long after booking and letting them know our situation, the host appeared next to our car and helped us sort everything out! Moreover, they even welcomed us with a late dinner as soon as we arrived! The room was also comfortable and quite large, and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic, not just the food but also the views to the mountains from the terrace were amazing. We liked the place so much that we decided to stay another night, to explore the area a bit further.
The dinner was quite pricey, compared to the local supermarket and restaurant prices. I would recommend asking the prices beforehand, especially as one can only pay with cash and there is no ATM in town. Also, the entire house seems to run on solar power (both hot water and electricity), so the shower wasn´t too hot after other guests showered, and we noticed some water/electricity cuts during the day/late night that seemed to be related to that.
