How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe couple that owns and runs this place is very sweet and hospitable. Location is pretty good - about 15-20 minutes walking to get to where most things are, and there are some good food and drink options closer than that. Seating in common areas both inside and outside. The house itself is old, but in a charming way.
At least in the room where I stayed, the wall was EXTREMELY thin, I could hear so clearly even quiet noises from the room next to mine. Wifi is pretty slow and stopped working a couple of times. The showers are impossible to keep at a comfortable temperature. The water temperature sometimes changes on its own, and very small taps/touches to the handle result it in it going from scalding hot (seriously, hot enough to cause injury) to completely cold. The booking.com listing says there is a desk in every room, but this is not true, only some rooms had a desk. Luckily, they were able to switch me to an available room with a desk, but I guess that would not always be possible. Laundry is relatively expensive at over €7 to wash clothes and then hang them to dry.

We’re always grateful when guests take the time to share both praise and concerns — it helps us grow. That said, we were quite surprised by some of your comments, and we’d like to clarify a few points for you and for future guests. Firstly, regarding the desk — all our rooms have tables, as you saw yourself. While they may not all be large work desks, they are suitable for light use. In your case, we offered to switch your room or provide an additional work desk, and you declined. So it’s a little disappointing to read this now. As for the laundry, you used the machine for nearly two hours with a full load. The €7 fee reflects average pricing in the area for this level of usage. As a small, family-run place, we simply can’t absorb that cost — and like most guesthouses, we’re not set up to provide large-scale laundry as a free service. The comment about water temperature is also the first we’ve heard. Thousands of guests have stayed with us and never reported any such issue. If something was wrong, we would’ve appreciated the opportunity to fix it during your stay. We’re always available and happy to help — communication is key. Similarly, our Wi-Fi is generally stable and well-covered by multiple routers throughout the property. If you experienced issues, again, a quick message would have allowed us to resolve it immediately. It’s unfortunate we only found out via this review. Regarding noise, the room you stayed in is one of the most spacious in our property, with original, solid walls — not temporary partitions. It’s certainly not known to be noisy. Still, we always strive to improve and welcome suggestions. You mentioned you were very happy during your stay, and we enjoyed hosting you. Perhaps the tone of your review was influenced by something that happened afterwards — like forgetting your beers in our fridge — but we hope not. We remain a warm, welcoming guesthouse that cares deeply about our guests’ comfort and experience. And while no place is perfect, we’re proud of the thousands of positive reviews we’ve earned — built on kindness, transparency, and mutual respect. It’s a little disheartening when a guest chooses to highlight issues in a public review that could’ve been quickly resolved with a simple conversation. Some people seem more interested in pointing out faults afterwards than genuinely improving their experience in the moment. Verified reviewBridge House is a homely place where you feel very welcome, everything is very clean and you can easily walk to parks, markets, food and basically everything in the center of Yerevan. Common areas are really nice and cozy. We ended up extending our stay two times and were sad to leave. Thanks for a great stay!
It's good to know that it's near to a bigger road, but at the same time the location is definitely a plus!

After we left for the airport and didn't manage to post our postcards, he sent them in our stead. The rooms as well as the facilities are fairly comfortable and the location is very convenient. Verified reviewThe owners were really nice, we arrived very late during the night and they enabled us to have a late check-in. The room was big with comfortable bed and everything you need. There is also kitchen with dishes and tables where you can eat.
The accommodation is next to the main road, so if you get a room next to the street, you may not sleep that good.

Verified reviewBridge House is perfectly located and within walking distance of the city centre and lots of major sites. Aside from a bit of street noise (to be expected in such a central location) it was very quiet and peaceful at night in the property. We also appreciated never having to wait to use the shared bathrooms, as well as how clean they were kept. Above all else we really appreciated the incredible hospitality that was shown to us during our stay - we were given great advice on navigating Yerevan, tea and coffee every morning, and were able to store our bags hang out at the property after check out as we had a late flight which was incredibly generous and much appreciated.
There was a small amount of street noise but this wasn’t an issue with earplugs.
