How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLovely shady garden with hammocks and covered seating areas. Situated in a quiet part of town, 20 mins walk from centre including uphill at the end. Nice homecooked breakfast, plenty of space and light in the room. Good shower. Everything clean.
Thin walls. Could hear neighbours talking and snoring. Bed not very comfortable.

Verified reviewWhat an unforgettable stay! 🌿 From the moment we opened our room window, we were greeted with breathtaking views of lush green mountains. The hotel’s beautiful backyard is a little paradise—full of greenery where kids can run, play, and laugh freely. Just a short stroll away is Dilijan Central Park, a must-visit spot that will fill your kids (and you!) with joy and fresh energy. The price is more than worth it for the experience you get. But what truly makes this place shine is the owner, Mr. Sam—a warm, kind, and down-to-earth gentleman who goes above and beyond for his guests. He didn’t just make our stay special; he made it unforgettable. Imagine this—he personally drove from Dilijan all the way to Yerevan just to return an item we forgot at the hotel! That’s real hospitality. Breakfast? Absolutely delicious—perfect to start the day surrounded by nature. If you’re visiting Dilijan, don’t just stay anywhere. Stay here, and you’ll leave with not only memories but also a piece of this place in your heart. 💚

Verified reviewGood location, up on the hill so we needed to walk but it was far from the street so it was nice and calm. Room was fine and with minimalist decoration, bed enough comfortable. Room was really cold even during summer which for some time may be good actually. Overall impression good, very but very nice garden and place to sit -big asset. The stuff cares for quick and efficient communication (not the best English though) and they are nice.
Room was fine but window was just close to the door so our room inside was very dark which was actually nice in the morning (only :)) and also I cannot imagine to stay there in winter or any colder season.

Verified reviewI had a great stay here for two nights. The location is peaceful, with a lovely courtyard and garden — very relaxing. The room was spacious, the bed linen was clean, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent, with plenty of hot water. I also appreciated having a kettle and some dishes in the room, which made things more comfortable. Communication with the host via WhatsApp was very pleasant and friendly — they were responsive and helpful. I’d gladly stay here again!

Verified reviewWell situated, quiet place, nice garden & yard, we reserved initially a room at the ground floor, but we updated for a room at the first level for 200 more AMD so that we can have a nice view. The host was very communicative and everything went well.

Verified reviewThe place is very close to the main road but once you are there it's like a small heaven. Very calm with a nice garden with apple trees. It was only sad that we couldn't stay there longer. The room is very clean and has everything you need.
The bed was a bit hard

Verified reviewI stayed for 2 nights with family at Dill Hill by Sam. It is located little uphill, but just 10 -15 minutes walk from the old dilijan old town square. There are some local grocery stores and a restaurant a bakery just a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel has its own garden with fruit bearing trees and an amazing sit out area. The rooms were big and absolutely clean. The beds were very comfortable. The linen was absolutely clean and white. We really enjoyed our stay over here.

Verified reviewLovely guesthouse in a beautiful part of the world. Room was very big and clean. Great shower.
It's a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Dilijan. Most of the walk is through a nice park but the end is up a pretty steep hill. Bed wasn't the comfiest.

Verified reviewIt matches completely with the description and photos. They accept card payments. There's a swing and a hammock to relax. There isn't any car noise. Tap water is drinkable and tastes better than the ones in the city. The staff are friendly. Good value for the breakfast. Right in front, crossing the street, there are some hens, which probably provide organic eggs for the breakfast.
The hot water takes time to heat, which wastes a lot of water. The location is uphill, and the roads are not in great condition.
