How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe hotel is a hidden gem in the centre of Yerevan. It felt like a journey into the spirit of Armenia. Just steps away from the Opera House and Republic Square, its central location offers the perfect blend of accessibility and tranquillity. The warmth and hospitality of the staff made us almost feel like part of the family. The team went above and beyond, ensuring every need was met with genuine care and attention. The around-the-clock support, even when I needed to leave a 2 AM, added a special touch to my stay. The hotel's ambience exudes homeliness and charm. The room has been nicely decorated, was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a cosy retreat after a day of exploration in the summer heat. The cute and quirkily decorated garden provided a peaceful escape, and the occasional melodies from the in-house pianist created a magical atmosphere. For those seeking an authentic, personalised experience in Yerevan, Hin Yerevantsi Hotel is a precious find. It offers more than just a place to stay; it provides a memorable journey into Armenian hospitality and culture.
It is hard to think about anything I may not have liked.

This is just a small thing but the shower cubicle leaked a bit so we needed an extra bath mat - this was provided straight away so not really a problem at all

Verified reviewThe hotel is tidy and has a very a convenient location in the hearth of Yerevan. Communication with the staff was excellent—responsive and helpful, mostly through apps. That said, the lack of a staffed reception left things feeling a little impersonal. The breakfast was a highlight—plentiful, tasty, and with a good variety. Having coffee and tea available at any time was a thoughtful touch we appreciated. In the end, Hin Yerevantsi is a solid option, especially for travelers who prioritize location in heart of Yerevan.
Our room was clean and functional, but the mattress felt a bit worn.

We would kindly like to inform you that as of June 5-th all the mattresses in our Hotel have already been replaced with new orthopedic ones, and hope you will be satisfied when stay with us the next time. Verified reviewWe had a great stay at this family-run hotel in Yerevan. The location couldn’t be more central, the room was new, very big and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared every morning - a mix of local dishes and international classics. We generally love supporting small businesses and connecting with the places we visit through accommodations like this one and it was an excellent choice in Armenia. The place is very authentic, tastefully decorated and charming. It was also great value for money. The host (Alex) is very kind and helpful, they provided airport transfers, help with directions, recommendations, amenities and even a lovely departure gift. They can also arrange day tours but we didn’t use this service on this occasion. We would definitely choose staying at this hotel again!!

The location was quiet and close to Freedom Square and important destinatuons. There are 2 bakeries nearby and supermarkets where you can exchange money and buy stuff which you can reach in 5 mnts walk. Alex left us a gift in the room before we left :) it was heartwarming. Verified reviewThis was my fourth visit to this family hotel. The location is unbeatable: right in the middle of the city centre, so you can get anywhere on foot in 5-15 minutes. Yet, it is in a quiet courtyard with a nice garden so you have all the peace and comfort you need to sleep well. Warm, helpful and welcoming staff, lovely ambiance, great interior decor, spacious room with everything you need. Highly recommended!
It would be great if the breakfast could start at least 30 minutes earlier: would be more convenient for a business traveller.

Verified reviewWe had an amazing stay at Hin Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The moment I walked into the hotel, I was struck by its exquisitely beautiful and tasteful decor. Every corner of the hotel oozes charm and historical allure, making it a unique and memorable place to stay. Its location is unbeatable. It's so close to the public square that I could easily take a pleasant stroll to reach there and enjoy the local scenery and activities. The breakfast at the hotel is simply wonderful. There is a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, catering to every taste. What truly made my stay exceptional were the little touches of the staff. When the butler learned that we couldn't have cold food, they went out of their way to prepare warm dishes for us. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. As if that wasn't enough, the hotel also presented us with small gifts when we were about to leave. It was a lovely memento that left a lasting impression on me. Overall, Hin Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and outstanding service. I can't wait to stay here again on my next visit!

Verified reviewThe hotel is a jewel in the very heart of Erevan. Everything was perfect: the room was comfortable and spatious, homemade food was delicious, hall and dining room are elegantly decorated. But...the most valuable aspect of this hotel is its staff: we felt at home and cuddled by anyone. Armenia really means hospitality at its best! One of the best places we've being staying at during vacations!
