How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAccommodation in a separate part but breakfast area where the family sit in a spacious, airy room with egg chairs and swings overlooking the garden. Very nice breakfasts. Vahe and family extremely kind and welcoming, went the extra mile to help and recommend restaurants and how to get about. Room feels brand new, crisp and clean. Comfortable bed and good shower. 20 mins walk to town and 25 to lake crossing the highway. Lovely cafe just round the corner. Highly recommend.
Thin walls. We could hear neighbours talking and giggling :o

Verified reviewStaff were very helpful - they arranged a taxi pickup for us after a hike, which we really appreciated, and offered local suggestions. Facilities are new and the room was clean and well-equipped
Walls are a bit thin so we could hear the people in the room next door.

Verified reviewGreat host who is welcoming, kind and amenable. Ten mins walk from the train station and ten mins walk to the lake. Not loads of amenities nearby but taxis are cheap and frequent to get you to nice places. If the weather was better the lake would be awesome.
Could do with a bed side lamp or switches by the bed to put the main lights off.

Verified reviewWe got a perfect update of the room which is really luxurious! Perfectly clean. A superb bed! Very good big shower with perfect water pressure. We easily walked to Sevan lake where we swam. Close to the hotel are supermarkets and restaurants. You can easily walk to the busstation to Yerevan. One day we took breakfast with very delicious things and a lot. Other day we had to leave earlier. Owner is very communicative and nice. Lady who helped as well. Owner speaks very good English.
The neighbourhood is a bit undeveloped. For us is perfect: it was so quiet at night and it is safe here.

Verified reviewWe were a group of people visiting Sevan for business purpose. Hotel Louvre had everything we needed and even more. The host went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. This was our second stay at Louvre, and we will definitely come back. If you need a place to stay in Sevan, don’t look any further. This is THE PLACE!
We have no complaints.

Verified reviewAwesome breakfast and very very clean with wonderful host!
It’s more like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel. Seems like a startup hotel where the owners are figuring out what amenities to include . Nothing major but simple things like one toothbrush for 3 and only shampoo but no body wash or lotion and no cups but there is a tea kettle. Amazing local breakfast makes it up for all the issues

Verified reviewMost of all I liked the host. Such a nice, good guy. The place is new, well furnished, and clean. I liked how we parked the car inside the property. I don't see how anyone could give a score below 10, the place is extremely cheap for what it is..

Verified reviewClass! The luxury, the service, the friendliness! What we found in Sevan was probably the best hotel in Armenia! The details the hotel and the rooms were finished in was amazing. The owner didn't spare a single thing! There is a heated pool to relax after a long day. The mornings - you are greeted with delicious cakes and coffee/tea. They go out of their way to ensure your stay is top! The hotel is behind a gate and they have face recognition when you get in - so advanced! We loved it so much - we stayed another day! Highly recommended!

Verified reviewThis was probably our most luxurious stay in whole of Armenia and far from being the most expensive. We seriously doubt you will get better value for money anywhere. And the owner was really accommodating, kind and helpful.
It didn’t bother us, but those travellers who are concerned about their personal data might want to consider that the entrance gate to the property operates using face recognition technology.

Verified review🌟 Excellent! A true getaway filled with comfort and style! We stayed at Hotel Louvre and were absolutely delighted! Everything was simply gorgeous — from the warm welcome at the reception to the cozy and elegant room. The staff were incredibly polite, attentive, and always ready to help. You can really feel that they care about every guest. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed feels like a cloud. The interior design is tasteful and refined. The location is perfect — close to cafes, attractions, and shops. A special thank you for the atmosphere — at Louvre, you relax not just with your body, but with your soul. We’re already planning to come back! Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates comfort, style, and top-level service. Thank you, Louvre! 💫

Verified reviewThe host was next level when it comes to hospitality. The hotel is very clean and brand new and extremely recommended for couples, families as well as solo travelers. Sevan is far from Yerevan and everything is a bit rural but this hotel is next level, you will register your face ID where you will enter and exit whenever you want. The host even recommended the best places to visit as well as where to eat and even one restaurant gave us 10% discount when we mentioned where we were staying. We even had some fun with the drone and took some amazing shots of the area.
