How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe booked a room without a balcony and window, fully aware of that in advance. However, it was not disclosed that the room had no air conditioning, despite outside temperatures reaching 38-40°C. When we reported this to reception, their only solution was to bring a small standing fan, explaining that the hotel was fully booked and nothing else could be done. With a major concert in the city, it was impossible to find another hotel that night, so we had no choice and stayed . The first night was unbearable!it’s hard to describe how awful it felt to stay in such heat without proper air conditioning. On the second day, we again requested to move to another room, but were refused. We also repeatedly asked to speak with the manager or owner, but our requests were dismissed. Eventually, it was agreed that we could check out early, stay only one night instead of two, and receive a refund for the second night. Reception confirmed that the money would be returned to my bank account within 3 days. Now, one month later, I am still waiting for that refund. I have contacted the hotel at least five times, and every time I receive the same excuses: “We’ll transfer soon,” or “We’re waiting for the accountants.” Nothing has been resolved. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise travelers to avoid this hotel, there are far better options in Yerevan where hospitality and integrity are actually respected.

Verified reviewIt was clean, and it was nice to have air conditioning. They allow you to pay with card.
It’s located a bit far from the city center (20’ walking) and the neighborhood isn’t too interesting/ beautiful.

Verified reviewA woman was in the reception. She was racist. When she understood we are from Iran she changed her behavior with us. We stayed there for 6 nights and only one day for 15 minutes we were laughing out loud in our room. But when we were going out on the same day, she warned us that we are making lots of noise and she said this again and again and mentioned also there are other Iranians making noise!!! She mentioned the country very much and this didn't feel good at all. All the members of our family became upset from her behavior. She was very rude and angry at us all the time!

Verified reviewVery bad experience – I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. The room was in terrible condition – extremely hot with no air conditioning or ventilation. It was impossible to sleep in such a suffocating environment. There was no internet in the room, even though it was clearly mentioned in the hotel description. When I asked at the reception, the staff member told me the internet was just “down for an hour,” but it never worked until I checked out. The service was disappointing, and the staff was not helpful. I strongly suggest they improve the quality of the rooms, especially the cooling and ventilation systems, and ensure the amenities they advertise are actually available. As it is now, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Verified reviewThe first night we were given three separate beds, the second night, even though we paid more for the reservation, they gave us another room with 2 beds and a sofa.

Verified reviewThe reception staff was not good. we lose ( forgot ) our phone in taxi from the city center , the reception staff refused to check the camera in front of the hotel door to find the taxi license plate number and did not cooperate. -- Bathroom and shower The shower was terrible and fixed, the angle of the water splashing into the room, not the bathroom (we tested 2 different rooms, both were like this). The TV system only had a few local channels and no TV internet receiver, etc. There are no shops or supermarkets around the hotel, but there are car repair shops, car body repair shops, and car tire changing shops, which caused noise pollution.

Verified reviewThis was probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It was incredibly dirty — there were clumps of hair on the floor, and the furniture was old and worn-out. I’m attaching photos of the towels — I’ll let them speak for themselves. On the positive side, the location is convenient, and the self-check-in process was easy. However, even that had issues: at first, they didn’t want to give us the second key. The Wi-Fi didn’t work anywhere — not in the room, hallway, or bathroom — and the hotel made no effort to fix it. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
