How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Verified reviewI booked a standard double room with one double bed. The description said “landmark view,” but only after arriving did I notice that, further down in the description, it also mentioned a possible “backyard view.” Unfortunately, we were given such a room on the top floor under the roof, facing the backyard. The view was unpleasant, and there was constant noise from the pumps on the roof, which made it very difficult to rest. After a two-day journey with my 10yo daughter, Yerevan was supposed to be our place to recover, but this room was not suitable for rest. When I asked to change the room, the receptionist told me that everything was fully booked. In my opinion, rooms with this type of view and noise should be listed separately, at a lower category, so guests can make an informed choice. I personally would have paid double for a quiet room with a proper view. Upon arrival, another very stressful incident happened, the elevator got stuck while we were in it. We were rescued fairly quickly, but it was frightening and frustrating, especially as we had a taxi waiting (with paid waiting time). I also booked a massage for myself and my daughter at the same time, but on arrival, I was told it could only be done one after the other. The massage room itself was uncomfortable, there were not enough towels to cover properly, and I felt exposed. The therapist was kind, but the technique felt unprofessional: uneven pressure, painful in some areas, and in the end both my daughter and I had scratches on our backs, which I noticed only afterwards. This should never happen in a professional spa. To be fair, after the massage, the staff did move us to a quieter room with a nicer view, which I appreciated. However, by that point, the overall experience had already left a very negative impression. Even though it’s close to the airport, I would not choose this hotel again. Comfort and proper facilities matter more, even if it requires a longer drive from the airport.

Verified reviewThe only thing, the receptionist didnt allow me to enter to the swimming pool, telling that only tomorrow, but from the sight of my room i could see that people were swimming, so I chose this hotel for the pool too, but unfortunately, the receptionist was thinking in a different way. Anyways, the rest was fine.

We would like to kindly clarify about the swimming pool: our hotel has its own pool located on the -2 floor, available free of charge for all our guests daily from 09:00 until 21:00. At the time of your arrival, it was already closed, which is why our receptionist informed you accordingly. The pool you noticed from your room window belongs to the neighboring GYM. It is not part of our hotel, but our guests are welcome to use their services if they wish, with an additional charge. In the picture it shows 2 double beds in the room, but in reality the were 2 single beds, and it was difficult to sleep with daughter there. Also, there is no room services no food after 10pm And the pool works only till 9pm, we had to hurry from our walk. Oh and I was surprised by only one electrical socket near beds - you either put your charger or night light. For that level hotel not good. Also old tv was bad surprise and window view - to the other building

To avoid surprises and be a little less shocked next time 😅, we recommend checking the room description carefully. The Economy Twin room does mention two single beds and a courtyard view. The pool is open from 9:00 to 21:00, and the restaurant works from 7:30 to 22:30 - no food delivery after hours, we know, tragic. The hotel is proudly from a past era - we call it "vintage charm", not outdated 😄. That old TV is staying right where it is! Thanks for the tip about the socket - we'll be adding more soon.
