Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalLilith is an absolutely wonderful host and the hostel attracts a cool crowd. The kitchen is well equipped and the there's many places to chill. It's a bit far from the center, but it's easy (and cheap) to get there by bus or yandex.

SpainWarm welcome from Lilly and the excellent atmosphere amongst guests. The Accomodation and facilities are exactly as described and in the photos. The toilet facilities are basic, but very clean. It’s 5-10 minutes walking to the centre.

ItalyThe bathroom is not the best and the water is not really hot but for the price is OK
Great little guesthouse located a bit outside of the downtown area but with only 100 Dram, you can get there by bus, which stops 100m from the guesthouse (if you stay on the bus, it'll take you almost all the way to the trailhead for the 2 abandoned monasteries so pretty good deal). Nice owners who speak English, small but functional kitchen, good wifi, great outdoor sitting area, chill environment, and decent rooms for the price.

BelgiumA true taste of Armenia. If you’re looking for something real, come here. The people are pure, the hospitality is unforgettable, and the generosity comes straight from the heart. Staying here isn’t just about a place to sleep ,it’s about connection, warmth, and feeling like you belong. Thank you for making me feel at home. I’ll definitely return. If you’re anywhere near this place, don’t hesitate ,spend at least one night. It’s an experience you won’t forget.

IrelandA worthwhile place to stay! It is an Armenian home and the mother and daughter turned part of it into a hostel for tourists. They do everything they can to help you and make you comfortable. It is a charming Armenian experience. It is a couple of KM outside Dilijan, but this is actually a bonus because the walk to it is lovely with views of the mountains and you can walk through the old town on the way too. Also, there are shops and supermarkets and cafes close to the hostel so you can get everything you need. A good addition to this hostel in my opinion would be rubber hot water bottles to keep guests warm on winter nights. I don't know if those are available in Armenia or not. I didn't see any. We can't leave the electric heater on when we sleep for safety reasons.

IndiaNothing much. Everything was good.
Clean and peaceful place to stay at Dilijan. The host is very sweet, kind, and a lovely lady. We had a good time here. The only problem is the washroom is outside the house, so when it is really cold at night going outside to use the toilet would be a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise it was a good stay for us.

ItalyEverything was perfect, this is a very authentic experience at an Armenian house so if you are looking for something authentic this is the place.
I was in Dilijan only for one night, Simonyan and her daughter was really kind to me, she welcomed me with a hot coffee considering that it was very cold outside and the following day before leaving she asked me to take a coffee with her and her daughter. I really appreciated everything and thank you for having me at your house 🫶🫶

Lilith and Tatevik are the mother and the daughter and they are super hosts of Ojakh Hostel. I stay at their house every time I come to Dilijan. It is a cosy, tidy, beautiful handmade place in the ‘town inside the forest’ Dilijan, the Gem of Armenia. The atmosphere here is super friendly and welcoming, family home at its best with lots of love put into the rooms, shared spaces and a backyard. People from different parts of the wold come and stay here, again and again and I am one of them. Thanking Lilith and Tatevik for warm and welcoming spirit!

United StatesSuch a wonderful place to stay. The beds are the most comfortable in all of Armenia. The gardens and outdoor seating area are beautiful. Lilit is a wonderful host and a wonderful person. I love this place so much. There is excellent hiking nearby. The hike to Whispering Waterfall only takes a few hours from the hostel.

RussiaHonestly I can't come up with any thing I didn't like about it. Usually I'm very demanding person and noticing lots of small and not tlso small things I didn't like, but not in this place! The only problem could be that the house is aside of tourist centrum so you have to walk for restaurants and cafe, but there is small shop just near the house.
Endlessly cozy local house of Lilit, the owner, and she is a real Georgian aunty with all her heart welcoming people to her house. If you come in the plums season be sure you'll not only eat it till your limits but she'll give you a large bag of plums for you and friends! Simple willage house in terms of facilities, though there are unusual for such house modern bathroom and toilet service. All is super clean and what's more there are art and craft everywhere, Lilit is very interesting person! WiFi, teapots etc - all is ok. House is in the main willage a bit aside from touristic centrum, so it's very calm around. I'm really happy I chose this place!

Czech RepublicThe bathroom is a bid oldschool, but I think this is the part of the experience too, it would be weird if it would be in any way luxurious and the water was always warm in the shower, which is was matters the most.
It's very authentic and the host is really nice and very charismatic. I would recommended to anyone, who want's enjoy real Armenia and relax a bit during summer in beautiful mountains.

United StatesIt was okay for me for my one day stay, but if temperatures were lower I think the cold would be a challenge if you stay inside for long periods during the day. It was a sunny, maybe 6C day and dropping to 0C at night. You can manage with the small heater and a layers during the day, and warm blankets at night at that temperature, but I imagine it would be more difficult if the temps/conditions were worse. You have to go outside to get to the bathroom.
Very friendly family in an older, I assume typical Armenian family house. Quiet residential area in beautiful Dilijan. I was offered Armenian tea and cake after my arrival, both of which were yummy. Everything needed was provided.
