How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff are very rude, air conditioning was not working at the beginning, there are two big windows in the rooms with no curtains and the sun hits the room at 6 am and then you are awake . Breakfast is terrible. They give you anything to fill your stomach with .Also, coffee is allowed for one small cup only . Only one person in the entire hotel from the staff speaks English and was unprofessional in dealing with complains and issue where they are too many . Booking.com rated them 9.1, but that was in 2018, and they are still using this rating to cheat their customers. We recommend showing honest reviews and removing booking.com rating or re-rate them based on the current service .

On the first day of your stay, when you mentioned the air conditioner, our technician checked it immediately. It was working properly before the inspection, and after the adjustment it worked even better. No further complaints were received from you, even though our staff regularly asked if everything was fine. Regarding the “two large windows without curtains,” the room in question actually has two small windows. If needed, we are always ready to provide additional blackout solutions upon request. As for breakfast, it is prepared fresh every day from quality ingredients. Coffee can be served as many times as a guest wishes — there are no limits. If you received one cup, it means it was requested once. Most guests describe our breakfasts as both tasty and filling. We would also like to note that when your children wished to warm up food purchased outside, our kitchen staff gladly helped every time, even though this was not part of their duties. They did it with a smile, simply to make your stay more comfortable. Our receptionists and hotel team remained attentive throughout your stay, asking daily about your comfort, and at the time we received only positive words from you. Of course, like any person or business, we always have room to improve — and we take feedback seriously. But we also believe that fairness matters. The words in your review and the score of just 1 point do not reflect the reality of your stay and feel like an exaggeration of the issues described. Specifically for people SENSITIVE TO SOUND - it's noisy. Normal people don't perceive it, but you will. People in the street having chat till late night, humming devices, intercom bell, noisy doors... I had real struggle with falling asleep. Breakfast start at 9:00 ! The hotel equipment and it's level is far away from 4 stars hotel. It's nice, clean 2 star accommodation for very fair price.

Verified reviewThe hotel is located close to the Yerevan bus station and amenities in the hotel were good. Anna at the front desk was very helpful and accommodated me for an extra day of stay. She was also gracious host to check in at 3am when we landed in Yerevan.
The hotel is at a 45-minute walking distance from the city centre . While taxis are easily available , it is impossible to walk to city centre in peak summer.

Verified reviewLocation is good. Not too far from city. Breakfast is good, not same repetition. They will allow only after 9 to enter the breakfast area. The lady in the breakfast counter was more strict, also communication problem. Very calm and quiet place.
One window was open in the room, top of the wall and we couldn't close that. Only kettle available without any supplies to make a coffee/tea. We had booked superior double room, but we got very small room than shown in the pictures, may be our mistake, we didn't check the area mentioned there. 500 ml water bottle given per person at the time of check-in. next two days drinking water not provided. Also the hotel took 3 times payment from our card, we noticed that after reaching UAE only. We informed the hotel and Booking.com customer service. We didn't get any response from Booking.com. After continuous chat with hotel, they checked with their bank and reversed the money. But how it is possible to withdraw the cash, twice from the card given to Booking.com and then again one more time during our check-in. First time we had such a bad experience. Anyhow the hotel co-operated with us. Room Wi-Fi is very poor.

Verified reviewWe ve organised shuttle service from and to the airport. It was absolutely amazing in the sense of time accuracy, comfortable car, and professional driver . Our plane from Larnaca was delayed, so the hotel was checking on the arrival schedule, and when we landed in Yerevan 2, 5 hours later than planned , the driver with the name of the hotel was there waiting for us. And it was midnight! We are very thankful for it! 🙏 The breakfast was delicious. Only have in mind being there at 9:00 the best . Good location.5 min walk to a bus station: almost all the buses go to the centre( 10-15 min , depending on traffic).All the stuff in the hotel is very friendly ,attentive, and helpful. Good value for money! Highly recommend!

During your stay, a serious and unusual damage occurred to the bathroom in your room—something we have not experienced in 9 years of operation. You initially acknowledged responsibility and agreed to cover the cost. We selected the most affordable replacement option and shared all necessary documentation with you. However, after several delays and excuses, the payment was not made. When we calmly explained that, if the damage remained unresolved, we would need to involve the police as a last resort, you immediately brought the full amount. This confirms your understanding of the situation and responsibility. We handled the matter professionally and respectfully throughout, and regret that this has been misrepresented as “theatre” or “cheap behavior.” We also take your breakfast comment seriously and will work on improving our service. They requested payment via a direct money transfer to a credit card in another country. Booking support said it was the only way. At the hotel they said they will not give me any confirmation document that I have paid. The room window is not into an inner courtyard, it open directly into the breakfast area which was full till after midnight on some days. Zero sound proof - the breakfast place was loud and I could literally hear every word people said. The room door does not reach the floor (about 2cm), so it felt like anyone in the hall was in my room. I was requested to clean after myself after breakfast as well as to pick up coffee. The breakfast has hardly any food. Eg today there was not a single boiled egg and two sausages. The rest were lunch and dinner dishes (pasta, rice, carrot and cabbage salad). Additionally, they (probably by mistake) trashed my pills for the days of the stay that I had left on the coffee table in a napkin.
