Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe breakfasts were limited, but adequate. Its a long way from the bus station but that’s not Ariel’s fault !
The staff were lovely, the location was fine, easily walkable to the centre, the hotel was clean and comfy. Great supermarket next door

BelgiumNot much English but we are used to it. The receptionist, perfectly friendly and helpful until the checkout tried to use an exchange rate higher than the usual one by more than 100, asking for 40.000 more than anticipated because they use a rate between the official and the blue dollar rate in their “usual” conversion. We discussed 10 minutes and we finally paid at the common/official rate…
Common pickup/drop-off point, out of the center but not too far. There is a small supermarket just next. The breakfast was mainly sweets but with some various options. We could use the microwave. The room was nice and warm. The shower was ok.

United StatesThe room I was in needs some improvement. It seems to me that owner does not have pride in the rooms. Loose electrical outlets, missing soap shelf in the shower, and a grab bar that I doubt would hold anyway if they were falling.
The staff was very nice and helpful. I liked to breakfast but eggs would make it better.

GermanyBiggest complain would be the breakfast, which probably was the most disappointing I had in a while. Just cheap sugary pastries. No protein to be found there whatsoever. No vegetables either. The rest was all ok, but on the level of a run-down 1-2 star place. So a bit of an over pay what is being offered here.
It´s well located near the city center of El Calafate. On Google Maps this place is categorized as 1-star hotel. And that seems appropriate. The price was however more of a 3-star hotel (and it was categorized as such here on booking.com at the time). I did however sleep well there and all the staff members were doing their job.

PortugalThere was no hot water or not at all water in the bathroom,, the fridge was standing on a small stool, and when you wanted to open it it fell on you, the lamp on the small table did not function, one could not open the window only in half and the breakfast was ready only for those who liked sweets like cakes. We had to bring to the dining room some veg like tomatoes, green paprica and avocados, For the price per night one would expect a breakfast with the variety of food. The heating was centrally regulated, so it was not possible to reduce it, and even with the window opened, we were too hot during some nights. So, the owner should pay more attention to her establishment.
Personel was very helpful every time we needed something they found a solution

United StatesThe overall condition of the hotel is just OK. It is closer to a hostel than a hotel. The radiant heats are turned on by the staff and there is no way to adjust the heat in the room /several nights our room was sweltering even with a window open. There is no way to open the window and still have privacy. There was just a thin curtain. The bathroom door would not close completely.
The location of this hotel is great. Just a short walk to shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

United StatesVery poor value. Extremely overpriced for what you get. Bare minimum accommodation, small room with no place to put your things, everything done as basic as possible but charge like a 4 star hotel.
Not far from main part of town

United StatesI didn’t stay there. On new years even I booked this hotel and when I arrived they told me that there was a ‘glitch in a system’ and there are no rooms. They didn’t provide an alternative.
Nothing.

AustraliaThe afternoon receptionist is all the bad things. Rude to customers, slow, confused all the time... She gave a late check out to the person in our room and asked us to wait for 1.5h to be able to check in. Her excuse: well people usually come later... It was 4.30 pm! Not unreasonable to check in I think. The heating system is central. The thermostat is in the large dining room. To heat that up they need to crank up the heat. It is steaming hot in the rooms. We had to sleep with windows fully open in the patagonian cold weather and we would be still sweating. But during the night... They turn it down... And you freeze to death. So every night we had to wake up in the middle of our sleep to close the windows. Overall the whole hotel is outdated. The breakfast is a mix of ultra processed food: cake, cookies, pound cake, cereals, toast and jellies. Something similar to ham and cheese. Juices are made from powder. I would avoid it, it is not as cheap as to justify all the stinginess they show in every detail.
This hotel has potential. It is not far from the center. They were flexible when we had to change the dates of our stay.

United StatesNot much, lady who checked us in charged a peso rate above the bank rate. It was costing us $121 instead of $89. After showing her the bank rate, she reduced a little bit, but still over the bank rate. I know peso is cheap, but over blowing for tourist is not fair.
Simple breakfast. I thought the room is very hazardous. There is unfinished plumbing work, with pipes sticking out from the sides. Someone can get a nasty gash if the they go to the bathroom without lights on. People seems like they never sleeps, it was very loud whole night we were there.
