The nicest and friendliest host ever! Super clean cabin, has every gadget you need in the kitchen. Has plenty of room for a small family! Breakfast is served good quality ham and cheese, croissants, etc. The location is a bit away from downtown (12 minute walk), but we needed peace and quite. Restful and quite. Highly recommended! Guillermo received us at our Taxi and helped us get settled in. He is so friendly and attentive. The rooms were very clean, well stocked and in a safe area. He helped us with taxi arrangements and gave us recommendations for dining and helados. The breakfast provided was fantastic. Overall it felt like a stay with family instead of a hotel.

Great communication from start to finish. Guillermo (owner) helped us with airport transfers and restaurant recommendations. He answered any questions quickly and was very friendly and eager to help. He even brought us breakfast at 3:45am when we left for El Chalten.

Guillermo, the host and owner of Cabanas de Nene, couldn’t be more helpful. His mission is to ensure that all his guests have a wonderful stay in El Calafate, giving advice about local trips and even preparing breakfast to suit early starts. The accommodation is comfortable and homely, but spotless, with cleaners coming in daily. Cabanas is located right by the lake, with an excellent restaurant close by (El Cucharon) and a 10-15 walk into the main town for a wide range of eateries.

Really cosy cabin that was cleaned every day. Guillermo was incredibly helpful and kind, always willing to help and incredibly approachable and accommodating. The apartment is very near the lake where you can go for a walk and an easy walk into town.

It’s at least 15 minutes walk to the town center. But you can take a taxi for 2000 ARS.

The property is located by the lake and its owner, Guillermo was quite exceptional. He’s the “all around guy”, cleaning, managing the front desk and attending to the needs of the guest. The apartment is very clean. They clean it every day and change your towels. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and quite specious enough.

Our cabin was a little chilly but once we let Guillermo know, he immediately adjusted it for us.

Beautiful property close to the town and shopping; very walkable. Nearby, there is a great little coffee shop and a market which is very convenient. Guillermo helped us with reservations and logistical questions about our plans. So helpful!

A high quality apartment with all facilities only 5 minutes walk from the bird reserve and 3 minutes from an excellent restaurant El Cucharon. The owner is a really nice person who will help with anything. It’s a five minute taxi ride from town and you are out in nature away from the crowds.

This apartment was amazing. It was the perfect location within walking distance of both the town and the lake. The space was great for our family with very fast wi fi and a nicely stocked kitchen. Breakfast was delivered every morning by the owner who is the absolute nicest person and the best host. Everything was very clean and comfortable. This has been our favorite hotel during our entire trip in Argentina.
