Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom was very very noisy (from the street every night and morning). Not many plugs in the shared rooms.
The property is in a good location. Lots of common spaces. Nice chilled vibe. Staff friendly.

AustraliaPaying with card costs 30% extra which is outrageous and since Argentina is a very tricky place to get cash it’s not really logical. Also it’s a very grubby place with a lot of older long term residents.
Great location and you it’s worth the price since the price is so low.

United StatesThere was a mold smell in the room and some of the chairs need repairing. It may be just the season, but it didn’t have a very fun social vibe. There was no soap or toilet paper in the communal bathroom.
Granados Hostel has a great location in San Telmo. Bright colors and beautiful murals make the old building come to life. Great terraces. If you need a lowkey place, it’s a great price and good location. The staff are friendly. It’s a great price.

BrazilLimited basic but clean, fresh shared bathroom facilities (separate men's and womens) on different levels. The kitchen has a good commercial stove with well used pots and pans but lacks basic utensils such as knives, forks, glasses etc.but these can be bought cheaply st nearby supermarket A large smart TV on the kitchen dining wall for those who want to watch YouTube with their phone. Commercial fridges ( a little noisy) but adequate.
Dormitorios on upper floor are quiet for a city hostel. Little traffic noise and far enough away from kitchen patio area below where guests who may have a drink or two after returning from nearby restaurants, bars may be talking etc but is hardly heard inside the upper dormitorios. Most bedrooms and only have four beds and are air-conditioned which is virtually silent. Windows and door open on to outside balcony/passageway for fresh air and sun light as desired. Some rooms have small table and chair to use a laptop etc.

Amazing location right in the heart of San Telmo. The staff are super cool and it’s a great place to speak Spanish with natives if you want to practise! There’s a small terrace that is nice to chill on too.

United KingdomThe mens toilets were a tad dirty and one of the doors were broken. The terrace was nice but needs an upgrade, and as there’s no locks on dorm rooms the safety of your belongings didn’t exist.
The Staff were really nice on checking in and the terrace was nice to sit up and catch some rays.

United KingdomThe facilities are really basic and are lacking at times: my room had no curtains, was quite cold at night and the beds weren't very comfortable.
I would recommend this hostel only if you're planning to go out until the earlier hours of the morning as there is a LOT of noise from the streets at night.

United StatesFurniture could be better repaired in the large area; folks asked to change beds (a couple of different times) and were told no.
I got smiles and welcome greetings often, was always helped with my heavy bag, and it just felt comfortable there.

ArgentinaDON'T BOOK THIS! Sick making. I've never seen a place like this. Avoid bedroom 104, it was like a hole. It seemed like a cavern! There was musty smell. How can you have rooms like this? It was like from a horror movie. I stayed 15 minutes and I made the check out. I had to go to another hostel. For the same price this is like a paradise! Don't book this place!
The receptionist was kind but how could you give a normal person a bedroom like this? It's like if you work in a fruit store and give people rotten fuits

NorwayIt was dirty and unhygienic, as if the hostel was rarely cleaned. There was chewing gum on the sheet of my bed. Guests were drinking alcohol in the room. There was noise from the bars and clubs outside. I stayed in another hostel for the same price - and it was very nice there: quiet and clean
The girl at the reception smiles very sweetly and she is very polite, but it doesn't mean anything, because she works at this hostel and knows about its terrible conditions
