Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. We had a lovely stay at this little hotel. The staff were so incredibly helpful, and booked us the most amazing driver for our excursion to Perito Moreno. There is a small fridge in the corridor where you can store refrigerated items, which was great. The only thing is that the noise from the street is crazy and it was like there was no wall between us. If there are free rooms on the other side we'd recommend to ask for that. We didn't, but regretted it during the night. Otherwise very comfortable bed and spacious!

Hosteria is next to a gas station, loud at times, incl. at night
Communication with and friendliness of hosts, walking distance to center of town, felt very safe as entry to hosteria is controlled;

Only complaint is that the building is very hot. We kept the heaters off and windows open in our room when we were in, but the hall outside the room and downstairs were overheated.
Excellent location near the center of town and the lake. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Comfortable room with a great shower. Fridge available for groceries, coffee (instant) and tea in room.

Rooms on Main Street side were noisy from the street traffic. Ask for a room on back side next time.

it is really basic property. yes, it is clean but one can’t say more. No drawers, lack of lighting, really narrow beds etc. It is ok for a short stay, but for 2-3 nights I’d choose something more comfortable
the staff was extremely helpful, like really really helpful. any question would be addressed immediately. There is a common fridge where you can put some food or drinks, this is convenient

Nothing just little thing like fixing the bathroom that doesn’t stay open and wobbly handle.
Small but very cute hotel. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Close to restaurants and supermarket on the main road. Staff were amazing, Karin super nice from the beginning.

Lovely place in a fantastic location in El Calafate - walking distance to the centre of town, but quieter than being right in the hustle and bustle. Great staff who helped me with any questions and arranged a taxi to take me to the airport at the end of my stay.

You can hear the cars on the road at night but it's not that bad. I slept through it fine but my partner used ear plugs.
Room was a great size. Location is walking distance to all the restaurants. Everything was very clean and nice that they have a little fridge too.

No breakfast option. Stayedc2 nights and only met the staff at check-in. The rest of the time reception was unmanned
