Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. I wish staff had told me about keeping my glacier ticket for a discount at El Chalten on the trail entries. Not enough outdoor seating. The only lounging area is in reception.
The staff were very helpful when I wanted to change rooms due to my unpleasant roomate. The whole hostel was nice and warm. Kitchen facilities were good. Staff were able to book discounted tours and onward transport . Close to everything.

All good except WI-FI in dorms and kitchen Plugs checking and need mending where needed
Fab location. Staff are superb and super helpful, cannot fault. Dorm size ok, beds comfy, extra blankets if needed. Kitchen nice size, well enough equipped except more knives are needed (hate eating with plastic). And a few more ceramic mugs would be good. WI-FI is ok in reception, but rubbish in kitchen and very poor in dorms. Plug by bed in room 7 not working (1plug for 3 beds by door ok!). Showers good, bathroom size really good. Nice garden are

Very few knifes in the kitchen… but all in all very good.
Incredible staff, very helpful. That have a lift to the Perito moreno that is a bit cheaper than the regular buses. They have fruit trees in the garden and you can eat the fruits!

Would be useful if there was some more plates/ bowls in the kitchen
The room was spacious and the kitchen was large. The staff were really friendly! As they are also a travel agency helped us book our trip to the glacier which was the best deal we had found. Would really recommend!

Our room (Nr. 1) was next to the reception with a window facing the street, so it was a bit noisy. The other rooms seemed to be more quiet.

Airport pickup by the hotel is really pricey at $25.
Super helpful staff. Helped me organize a trip to Perrito Moreno glacier on the same day I landed. Also helped with travel bookings to El Chalten at no extra cost.

In my room my bed was not stable and was sliding against the tiled floor, making noise every time I moved. A bit annoying but didn’t prevent me from having a good sleep :)
The staff was sooo friendly, the location is absolutely perfect, it is very cheap and the garden is very nice to have a coffee outside 🥰

The toilets/bathroom miss like a small table to leave your stuff while you shower.

Flys in The kitchen.
The staff 10/10, really helpful with booking additionel services. Also very good wifi and location, only 20 meter from The Main street.

2nd stay room - no plugs worked in the room, no blankets and heater didn’t work in room either
Stayed twice - first stay was good - private room is cheap, in center and better price than 2 dorm beds in most places. Kitchen area is big and clean.

The staff was not helpful at all. Also, the kitchen lacked several necessary things (e.g. scissor, can opener, oil, …). Our room had a heater that we couldn’t operate by ourselves so we needed to ask the staff everytime and they didn’t have the proper tool at hand.

There was a single socket in the entire room. No place to store the luggage.
The lady at the reception was nice and spoke good English!
