How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No restaurants around you have to walk almost 15 min and cross the bridge.

Wonderful place in a beautiful setting. Garden pond is perfect for having a dip after the sauna or soaking the sun. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, the breakfast is superb. We had a super great time.

It would be very unfair to write anything here.
Absolutely everything was sublime! The most obvious full score review I've ever given, by far! This was exceptional! At the end of the stay, we planned to travel to the next place, but ended up booking two more nights! Even the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible!

WIFI was a bit weak and wobbly
Perfect stay as a base for regional visits on a heavy schedule: balcony was fringed with wisteria, large room, spacious, very clean, always space to park, even at peak times, very friendly staff, great breakfast: Very good coffee, everything fresh and a perfectly soft-boiled egg!! Really peaceful and yet central.

I would have liked to let my dog out in the small garden in front of my room. Unfortunately this isn't possible as all these little spaces aren't separated, so your dog can end up disturbing others, plus can easily go directly in the street. I felt sorry for my dog.
The breakfast is excellent and you don't feel any pressure to hurry. Staff is very friendly and they really like to have well behaved dogs around. I was glad to be aloud to take Cupper in the breakfast area. Each room has a small garden/ terrace. Internet works very well. You can have a drink late in the night and just write down your room number.

This apartment is a definitely good choice. It was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Breakfast was outstanding – fresh, varied, and delicious each morning. We also really enjoyed the sauna.The hosts were attentive, kind and accommodating. And they were even welcoming to our dog, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommended!!

During my reservation period, Austria was affected by floods, and I needed to cancel two days of my stay. The owner was very kind and supported the refund. The remaining three days of my stay went very smoothly. The room was clean, quiet, and the view outside was beautiful with plenty of leisure facilities. The breakfast was also excellent. The owner even lent me a bicycle, which made it convenient for me to attend the conference in the neighboring city. It was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend this place.

This is a great hotel garni in an excellent location for touring the Wachau. The Danube, the villages of Mautern and Stein are a 5 to 10 minutes walk away. The rooms are pleasant, the service is very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended.

A tranquil, beautifully maintained garden with a refreshing natural pool. A friendly and very helpful owner, who was able to recommend some cycling options as well as several places to eat. All the staff were very nice. Very clean and spacious accommodation - we got an upgrade and had a small chalet just for the two of us. Very good breakfast - fresh, tasty and very good choice. We hope to visit again.

We moved our daugther to Krems, they offered breakfast to all of us, without any questions. I have never experienced such a hospitality, strongly recommended!!

Nothing we can think of because everything exceeded our expectations, not just the hotel accommodation, facilities and staff but even the quality and security of the storage for our bicycles being used for our journey.
The location was ideal for our activity, cycling the River Danube between Passau and Vienna stopping at small hotels en route. We hadn’t realised the hotel owner had embraced an ethos around bio sustainability, local produce and services but were pleased to have the experience of our stay. The buffet breakfast was one of the best on our trip and consisted very good quality produce. The hotel owner recommended a local restaurant, making no secret of the fact it was part of the vineyard operation owned and run by her family and it too was a truly excellent experience. The owner and staff were a delight to deal with.

The energy saving room was somehow not too cosy, dim light and a bit cold. The kitchen could be better equipped.
We enjoyed our stay! The hotel is beautifully build in a nice farm. Nice small sauna next to a beautiful ecological pool. Breakfast was excellent with Rich buffet. I got gluten free bread for my request. New spacious apartment with big kitchen for self use. Excellent service. Owner was very generous, friendly and helpful with all our requests. We had nice walks in the surrounding, and used local bus to get to near by locations for hiking on the Wachau trail.
