No tea of coffee facilities in the room and no water glasses. This was to protect the floor - which was actually showing signs of water damage from cleaning in any case! Very inconvenient not to be able to make a drink and suggested the hotel was more focused on protecting its building than on customer service. Dinner options are limited (no a la carte) and expensive - we are oldish and don't need a 3 course meal. As the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, we had not other options the first night but ate lunch out the second day and brought a sandwich back. Kitchen also closes early - and the food was running out when we dined and the staff were not willing to make extra. There seems a lot of pressure on staff not to waste food which is worthy but not when it means customers are just told they can't have what everybody else ate. Room was a little warm despite our attempts to put the air con system on low - not that it was very clear how that worked. Landed up having to keep the window open and then, of course, it got too cold so I had to get up and close it. Rooms are very poorly appointed for electric sockets. Nothing near the bed to keep a laptop charged.

Room smelled of wood which was lovely. Nice modern room with new bathroom and excellent shower. Excellent breakfast. Perfectly located to visit the Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Restaurant service was excellent.

Long queue for check out. The waiter refused to speak English to us and gave lengthy speeches in German despite clearly communicating to other staff in English. Didn't use the pool as looked a bit boring.

I was concerned with some recent reviews but: the parking was free, the receptionist was friendly, the three course (half-board) dinner was excellent, and breakfast was good with plenty of coffee machines.

Not even a small refrigirator in the room. The beds & pillows are mid at best, can't say they were really comfortable. The staff (except for 1 or 2 restaurant workers) were not the friendliest I've interacted with. Overall the rooms look nice, the mountain view is amazing but compared to what you pay, one expects a friendlier staff, more comfortable beds...

The food was extremely expensive. Schnitzel with potato salad for €32 is ridiculous, especially when another sign in the hotel advertises schnitzel with fries for €13 🙃. Single room is fine, bit some extra pillows and connections for chargers would be nice.

The hotel is in a quiet location, ideal for visiting linderhof castle. The half board food was of a good standard, plenty of parking, and friendly staff.

Really nice place and all that but there check in procedure (taking details of all, including children, which you had to do yourself on an ipad) was very poor. Took us 30 minutes just to check in for a 1 night stay. In addition, the restaurant closed at 9 (!?) For orders which is a bit tricky if you are arriving late (as we did) as there is nothing else around. They solved this, appreciated, but adds a lot of stress.

**Nice Hotel with room for improvement in the service area.** Our stay at the hotel was generally pleasant, largely due to its excellent location surrounded by nature, making it an ideal spot for hiking and other outdoor activities. The staff were friendly, but there was a noticeable reserve, possibly due to high pressure from management. This created a slightly tense atmosphere that affected the overall experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. We only had breakfast during our stay, and the selection was adequate, though not particularly outstanding. Overall, a nice hotel, especially recommended for nature enthusiasts. However, there is room for improvement in the service area.

The room was nice. It was a good price. The dinner was lovely and the breakfast. We enjoyed the sauna and steam room. This hotel is really in the middle of the nature and for that reason it's a nice escape. Some skiing resorts approx 40 minutes away.
