spacious room and nice bathroom. bed was comfortable, breakfast was nice and there were available parking spots in front of the hotel. we also had dinner in the hotel and the food was great. walking distance from the lake and the area is very nice. we had a nice stay!

You could here a lot from neighbouring rooms as well as from the hallway. For a hotel in a hiking area, I would wish there to be an option for a packed lunch to take to the mountains. It is not allowed to take stuff from the buffet (understandable as probably hard to take into account), but there should be an option to order a reasonable packed lunch the night before or sth like that.

Location top - close to the Rofan Gondola as well as close to the busstops for buses in the region. All buses included with the guest card. The breakfast staff was very friendly. The room was very big for me and my two boys (8 and 5 years old). The mattress was very comfortable. The bath was newly furbished, a bit small with little room to place stuff, but totally doable.

I didn’t really like the very soft mattresses – unless you weigh under 50 kg, they’re not very comfortable. The hotel is located by a relatively busy road, but the windows are soundproof when closed. The lighting in the rooms is quite outdated, mostly old fluorescent fixtures. Breakfast had a limited selection and lacked variety.

Beautiful mountain view from the window and balcony, with a side view of Lake Achensee. The room was clean and recently renovated. The bathroom was nice and functional, though the sink was a bit small. The shower allows for precise temperature control. There was plenty of parking available. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming.

Overrated and definitely overpriced . Got a family room for 4 but the sopha bed is not fit for 2 kids . Got a room with lake view for 15 euro more and was no lake view. Breakfast was less then basic , got there at 9:15 most of the food were finished and only some of them were refilled . Can be good choice if the price is 40 % less .

Very beautiful place to stay! Clean and comfortable room with fridge, nice bathroom and big balcony with a mountain view. Delicious breakfast (huge variation of food). Free parking. Restaurant and bar. Common room with billiards, darts and other games

It was on a main road in the mountains so you could hear cars. It would be nice if they did some more esthetic upkeep. Take better care of the flowers. Power wash the deck outside my room!

The staff was very nice and helpful. The location has views of the beautiful mountains and lake. It was right next to the Rofan Bahn Cable car. It was a fantastic place to go up to the top of the mountain. The breakfast was very good.

Although the room was renovated, the bathroom was old and the shower moldy... As mentioned, we could hear the noise from the road (with windows opened which was a must during the hot summer). Finding a spot in the parking lot was challenging, but we were lucky (not sure if there is enough space for all the guest though).

Two nights we stayed here were OK. The room was newly renovated (unlike the bathroom), spacious and clean, we had a balcony but it unfortunately faced the main road and gas station which was quite noisy especially early in the morning. Breakfast was rich with good variety of food. The hotel is located right next to the Rofan cable car station which was very convenient, the lake is like 15 mins walking distance. 5 to 15 mins walk to restaurants.

Check out is at 10:30 am and we weren’t leaving Maurach until 2:00pm approx. We wanted to go for a walk before we left and the hotel didn’t have a room where we could change for the homeward journey and didn’t have a dedicated storage area for our bags so we had to leave them in a corridor near reception. Also, because our bedroom was at the front of the hotel there was traffic noise from the busy road outside.

Location is excellent being central and the local bus stop is quite near. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection. Bar food was good also. Decor is unusual but the room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. We would be happy to return to this hotel.

Although reception assured us we could eat untill 22:30 the kitchen was already closed at 09:00. The breakfast manager moved my plates and coffee from our window view to a small table in between the buffets, because the tables at the windows were only for groups. while no groups showed up and other couples were free to sit there. this was rather unpleasant. The same happend when checking out. nothing about did you enjoy your stay or something like that. rather in a very unpleasant way the woman at the reception demanded the city tax to be fulfilled.

Incredibly sweet blonde woman at the front desk was vey helpfull. The rooms were clean. although not very modern. The breakfast was delicious and very fresh. The suroundings are absolutely awesome, nature is gorgeous.

Very friendly welcome. We were able to lock our bicycles in the spacious ski room. Breakfast selection was very good. Loved the different breads, pancakes, etc. The room was much larger than expected. Bathroom seemed to have been modernised recently.

Porch on outside of our room on the 3rd floor, bar & restaurant on ground level, gas station across the road, and best of all Achensee (Lake) is right outside the hotel and hiking trails and lifts going way up into the Alps.

For €280 for the night it wasn’t great, our bedroom didn’t have a window, the decor looked old basic and tired. The info said mini bar and coffee making facilities and neither were present, If it hadn’t been for the fantastic breakfast it would have scored much worse, I think you are purely paying for the location to the lift which is next door. A shame as the staff were all nice.

I dont like the bathroom floor, it is a bit slippy and greasy when your barefoot walk on it after the shower. I would suggest the better clean or if you stay here just bring your own flipflop.

I love the views, the room, the comfort to stay. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The room view is nice and the room is spacious. The breakfast is in good values. It is worth money to pay.
