How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewReally great stay! The staff were super friendly and polite — always ready to help with a smile. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Everything I needed was there, from good Wi-Fi to plenty of outlets and a nice hot shower. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, both hot and cold options. For the price, I was honestly impressed — great value for money. Would definitely stay here again!

Verified reviewCalm place in with beautiful pond. Nice and tidy room. Beautiful view from the window into the pond and balcony to sit and enjoy the evening
Paid parking - it’s unusual outside of the city to pay for parking lot. Expectations for breakfast were high and unfortunately it wasn’t met. Pancakes were cold and vegetables choices were limited.

Verified reviewOne of the best hotels experiences we have had in last months. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. They make you feel very welcome, and they really take care of the place. Small gifts as delicious donuts, fresh water, water and snacks for dogs at the reception are a nice gesture. We booked a standard double room and we got a nice one, probably upgraded one with a huge balcony and beautiful view on a small pond with a tiny willow-tree "island". Room are nice, super clean, kept in nice tonality of light grey and deep blue colors, beds are comfortable and big, bathrooms same well-arranged, with spacious shower. They also provided bathroom with Prija, oriental-ginger shampoo-shower gel 🙂. It smelled so good that I want to buy it now 🫠. The hotel is dog friendly, and stuff is very nice towards your four-legged friends. There is also a Hundezone approximate 15 mins walk from a hotel - search for "Hundewiese". Hotel serves breakfast from 7 until 10.30 at 18.90 eur per person, it is a breakfast-buffet, and breakfast was generally speaking very good: we could have pancakes, scrambled eggs, lots of cheese, ham, small sausages, jams, fruits, yoghurts, bread, and some cakes, coffees, juices etc. Hotel is located approx 15 min with a car from Graz. Super recommended!

Verified reviewWhy you have to pay that much for parking? 15euros is too much for outside parking without anyone being there as a security. The hotel says it’s 4stars but it doesn’t look like. Why is the AC only in the living room, it gets hot in a bed room as well… overall for that money it was not worth to stay in this hotel and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Dear Mr Lukas You were given a suite instead of a standard double room. We wanted to give you our best room. If you had told us you weren't comfortable in the suite, we would have given you a standard room. We are very sorry that we didn't do you any favors. Unfortunately, we have to charge a fee for parking, as we rent it ourselves from the municipality. However, it is possible to park on the street; we also inform our guests. We're very sorry. We'd like to offer you a superior room with a lake view on your next trip at no extra charge, and you'll also be charged the parking fee as our guest. Please just contact us directly. Best regards Krisztina Ohidy Hotel Managerin

Verified reviewThe hotel is conveniently located, in a quiet residential area, but easy to get to from the motorway. It`s about 20 minutes by car from the Graz centre, which is a must -see. The room itself was clean and comfortable, overlooking the pond. There are some free drinks in the fridge, that were a very nice surprise (it is not common in the hotels). Breakfast was very good, with sufficient variety of food and good coffee. I would definitely stay there again. It`s an excellent choice - for a longer stay or just a stop for the night on your journey.

Verified reviewThe hotel is comfortable and located in a nice quiet area. The room was clean and comfortable.
At night came a big tourist group, that was very noisy and chaotic. Would be great if the staff would have asked them to be a little quiet for the sake of other people’s peace.

Verified reviewSpacious and clean room with a nice view over the small lake in front of the hotel itself. The room was well insulated in order to avoid any noise from outside. The staff were kind and helpful Sauna and gym are clean and provide some good relaxation after a long drive day Breakfast was very good. 200 metres far away there is a vending machine selling local products as yoghurt, cheese, eggs etc.

Verified reviewVery good breakfast, much variety and very fresh! Clean room, comfy bed. All the drinks in the mini-bar were free!
The room had not such a great view (looking directly into the neighbour's house). I find it odd that he hotel charges €15 for parking - however I avoided it by parking on the street instead - like most of the other guests did also.
