Reviews of Haus Bellevue

Obertraun was a lovely option for us- we had 2 motorcycles and a car which were no issue parking immediately across from Haus Bellevue. We took the little electric powered boat across to Hallstatt which was a lovely way to arrive there. Can use bus too. The local resort at Obertraun was handy for the minimart at their reception too. The 2 bed apartment was huge with big bedrooms too and nice deck. Right next to the train station - no noise issues and handy too. Just sorry we only stayed one night. Good comms from Andrea.

Nothing really- I guess I should mention the slight inconvenience of our private bathroom being down half a flight of stairs- but it was still in the apartment- and had a great shower. Also getting our suitcases up to the top floor- but not a problem.

Comfortable acommodation with amazing view. Very nice lady, who waited for our late check-in and was there for us, when we needed her.

The localization is Obertraun is great as Hallstatt is very crowed. Very close to the train station but we cannot hear anything, it has a backery and pizzaria close by. We made our own dinner in the kitchen and had all you need. Also you can easily walk to Hallstatt as it not the far from the last Parking area. The owner is very friendly and replies very quickly to our messages. I definitely recommend the place.

We had a delightful stay I highly recommend for other families, I wish we had stayed longer. The property was full of charm and character, it had everything we needed to suit my families needs. The location was perfect our host was lovely we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. No extra charge for early check in or for the private parking. The property is surrounded by so much beauty and the fresh mountain air, I had the best nights sleep.

Obertraun is an amazing base if you want to visit Hallstatt. This property, as a matter of fact, is in a very good location. We arrived to Obertraun by train, and the property is only a few steps away from Obertraun Dachsteinhöhlen Bahnhof. It is also just a few steps away from a bus stop (Obertraun Abzw Bahnhof Dachsteinhöhlen, near the church). From the bus stop, it is only a 6 minute journey on the bus to get to the main bus stop for Hallstatt tourists (Hallstatt Lahn). From someone that has already visited Hallstatt before, I would actually recommend people to stay here since you can get to Hallstatt very early and beat the crowds that come from elsewhere as part of daytrips from Salzburg, Vienna etc (and accomodation in Hallstatt tends to be more expensive) The hospitality we received from Andrea was also top notch. We had a lot of luggage, but Andrea was very kind to let us store it there for no charge. She was kind and very responsive whenever we had any questions. We were also arriving late to Obertraun, but Andrea kindly arranged for self pickup of the keys, which was straightforward. Obertraun in itself is also a nice place to wander about and enjoy the beauty of Austrian nature. If you decide to to the skywalk while in Hallstatt, you can see Obertraun in the distance, surrounded by beautiful mountains :)

The kitchen could have had a bit more amenities as there were not that many pots and pans, but I was only there for one night so not much to complain about, and even though it was shared I was lucky that the other guests were not using it that night.

It was really good stay. Perfect location to visit Hallstat. Near to bus station and place where you can catch the boat. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The deepest sleep i've ever had in my whole life. She is a wondefull woman, the hospitality at its finest and her coffee shop down stairs is the real deal. I would visit again!

The host is enthusiastic, talkative and willing to help.

The kitchen was severely lacking in essential appliances. The bathroom had no curtain or mop, so every time I showered, water would flood the floor. There was no ventilation, so the bathroom floor was always wet.

Not enough kitchenware, wifi is not stable

The host lady was very kind to us. The room price was too high for us, but that is because the area is a tourist attraction. We stayed on the ground floor. Above us were children running and jumping causing an unacceptable rumbling sound from the ceiling. In such a case, we suggest to the host to rent out the upper floor instead of the bottom one. Everything else was fine and met our expectations.

Cozy rooms, central location, very nice with a community kitchen shared by a few rooms. Safe place to lock our bicycles!
