How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe apartment is rented out by a company. The address is different from the one listed on Booking.com; it's in a nearby block. The company sent a message about the detailed address via Booking.com before we arriving. The company's reception is on the ground floor of the building. You can go there to pay for parking when you leave (the daily fee is €10 cheaper than paying at the parking garage). If you booked breakfast, you'll also have it there. The location is quite convenient, with metro station, tram stations, and Lidl supermarket nearby, and the Hauptbahnhof is within walking distance. There's a Döner store called Ferhat near the metro station that seems to be quite popular, with long queues every day. The neighborhood is quiet, which is a plus.
Since it is company-run, the interior decoration is simple. It has all the necessary electrical appliances and furniture, but aside from a few paintings or photos, there are no other decorations or furnishings. It's not as good as those beautifully decorated B&Bs. There were also a shortage of bowls; I remember there was only one lightweight plastic bowl. But there were some deep plates we could utilize.

Verified reviewThe whole building is with individual apartments. Very spacious, clean, comfortable, nice taste in furniture. Close to metro and to pedestrian zone full with supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, fast food. Great choice, we would stay again! Extra: Kids loved the playground in the courtyard where we had breakfast. Very good idea!

Verified reviewThe apartment is very modern and comfortable, conveniently located close to all amenities and public transport. The check-in and check-out process was very easy, and the staff, as well as the host, were all lovely. Communication through Booking.com was excellent, making the whole stay smooth and enjoyable.
The only downside was that it tended to get a bit hot at night, as there was no AC or fan, so we had to fully open the doors and windows for a breeze.

Verified reviewLandgutgasse 7 is now burned permanently into my memory. It's nothing spectacular, but BelVie is the ideal location for people who want to visit Vienna with their family and not pay a lot for a fancy hotel. The beds are comfy, the apartment for four people was very spacious (and included a terrace where smoking was possible), the water was brilliant (both hot and cold for the sink. Yes, you can drink it!), and there was an elevator which came in handy for our stroller. You can come with your kid bcs there's a small playing area with a lot of toys right next to the outside breakfast serving area. Our little one made full use of it. I appreciate the host for not turning that space into a parking lot. I've also seen people use the covered parking bay in which maximum two cars can fit. Lidl, Penny, and Aldi are very close. I went every morning to buy coffee from Lidl bcs I don t like filtered coffee. The metro/tram/bus are also nearby. You really won't need a cab. The main train station (Wien Hauptbahnhof) is in walking distance as well. We took a day to visit Czechia and another to go to Bratislava. Used the trains and the Twin City Liner catamaran. Also, important to note that the host responds to messages sent via Booking - even at night! Overall, we're very pleased. We will likely stay here again.
The breakfast was the same everyday. Literally nothing changed. I think on one morning we had mozzarella instead of brie in the cheese section, but the meats/eggs/cereals remained the same. I asked for fresh towels on our 4th day and the lady there said she didn't have any until Monday. Waited until Monday and still didn't get any. Fortunately, they found some fresh towels after I messaged the host. Planes are landing every 4 or 5 minutes and they come rather close. It gets noisy if you want to take a nap with the windows open during daytime. Fret not; at night it's silent, unless you get some young Russian gets accommodated next to you and they drink like there's no tomorrow. But probably the thing I didn't like the most was the checkout time - 10 AM. It's a bit early, considering breakfast is served until 10:30. Similarly, you don't have access to the lobby area where the playground is after 10:30.

Verified reviewLocation was close to plenty of shopping and restaurants. Plenty of room for the five of us.
The building was quite loud the evening we stayed. The apartment above us had tenants that were up late and pounded on the floors when they walked. So it took a bit to get to sleep. Shower once had a door/partition to stop the water from going all over the floor, but it was missing. So we didn’t shower because we didn’t want to have to bother with the mess.

Verified reviewWe loved the apartment, it was super clean and stylish. It is very well located close to public transport, 20 minutes to the center, 25 minutes to Schönbrunn. Breakfast was amazing! The paid parking possibility was very convenient. The elevator was a great plus.
Very strong odor from bathroom canalization. At check out we had to wait almost 1 and a half hour for an employee to bring a parking card, so we can get our car out of the parking: that delayed us majorly for the long trip we had that day. However, this was probably an exception.

Verified reviewThis building is well located, very close to the hauptbahnhof and a metro line. We stayed in the two-bedroom suite as a family. Although 1 bathroom was not enough, the flat was quite spacious. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was quite nice. I think the place is quite understaffed. Staff were very nice and helpful. When we asked for additional toilet paper and dishwasher tablets they provided. They allowed us to check in early.
The house was poorly equipped. For example, half of us did not have a big body towel but only a small one, in the bathroom there was no toilet paper hanger. In the flat of 5 there were 2 knives, 2 wine glasses, 3 spoons, very minimal cutlery or kitchen things. Which made making food in the kitchen quite impractical. Decoration was very minimal, it felt like to be cheap they just put whatever is absolutely necessary and omitted the rest. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken as well. Cleanliness was fine although the floor was dirty, balcony was dirty and inside some cupboards in the kitchen were stained. The door mechanism of the shower was broken, and it was not closable. Which made the water leak.

Verified reviewVery convenient to the train station and for the u bahn underground, so getting anywhere was very easy. Close to shops and cafes. The apartment was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful. Self check in and out was easy. There is breakfast available in a dining area off the lobby at an extra cost.
The apartment is very basic with minimal furnishings and kitchen equipment. No air conditioning, but we got a fan when requested. Drain odour in the bathroom. It can be very noisy late at night and early morning as sound carries a lot in the building. Very spotty wifi connection.
