The location was great - a bus stop was in front of the door, the bus takes you directly to Gosausee. At the accommodation I was warmly welcomed by Alina, who was very kind and helpful. Also, the breakfast was excellent and the beds very comfortable.

Family friendly property in a great location less than 10 minutes away from the beautiful Vorderer Gosausee at the foot of the Dachstein. The staff is very friendly and professional.

The bathroom was pretty small and I don't like the fact that the shower has a plastic curtain, which is not that pleasant or hygienic.

The location is simply amazing! One of the best places I've been and we had a room with the best view of the mountains and the surrounding area. They also have some comfy chairs outside where you can just chill and look at the beautiful landscape. Also Hallstatt is very close to this location and staying here instead is much cheaper. The staff, Alina, Daniel and Ovidiu are some of the best guests we've seen in our travels. they were very welcoming and also quick to solve our problem (we had a small problem with the toilet water tank and they replaced it very quickly the next day). The Breakfast is very good! They have a free nearby parking The whole place was very clean and I really liked the cozy place at the entrance where you can just lay down and read something or spend some time as a family our in a group.

Me and my girlfriend had a room that faced the sunrise, which can a bit of a problem in summer since the sun comes up very early. As a result, we woke up much earlier than we had planned. I’d suggest adding a blackout curtain to help guests sleep through the early morning light. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

If you’re planning a trip to the beautiful town of Gosau, Austria which we truly recommend, Der Gamsjäger is the perfect place to stay. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, and the service was honestly beyond what we expected. Alyna took such wonderful care of us. She was always around to help with anything we needed and was such a kind and warm person to talk to. It really felt like a home away from home. And the breakfast each morning was nothing short of amazing—plentiful, fresh, and a great way to start the day. 5 stars to this place

I think the bathroom is a bit outdated, it should benefit some upgrades.

It's a very nice, comfortable and cosy little place and we had a really pleasant stay. Reception area, lounge and our room were very tidy and clean. There was a good variety for breakfast and the place was close to trails and forest. The staff were amazing, Daniel and Alina were always there to answer any questions and help, they just couldn't do enough for us!!

The bunkbed mattress was a bit hard (for the ones who don’t like hard mattresses) and the windows didn’t have blinders to protect from the early sun light.

The location has an amazing view to the pure nature! The design and decor was super cute. The breakfast was delicious! The staff, Alina and Daniel, were very nice and happy to help at any time.

I had to panic book this due to some very stressful travel issues. Alina was incredible at staying in touch while I was trying to arrange transport and then welcoming me to even after the allotted check in time. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. Alina was so helpful and when she found out I was leaving early even prepared my breakfast in a bag to go. Cannot recommend enough :))

No fan. But in addition to opening nice and wide, the windows also open in a way that they are partially open so that you can get some air flow while sleeping. We didn't try that because we were concerned about mosquitos, but we never saw any mosquitos anyway. The drain to the shower sits under the shower curtain, and it kept the water from flowing and would make me stand in water.

Fantastic service, delicious food and display of the food, very clean, they were extremely attentive, someone carried our luggage up the one flight of stairs. The decorations were very well thought out and very nice. Family board games. Rocking chairs on the front porch. A path to walk the town right outside the door, great parking across the street, donkeys in the neighborhood, a wonderful walk through the woods that was just short of a tropical forest. Wow!! The clouds were covering the taller alpine mountains until morning, but you could see the tree covered mountains the whole time. That was beautiful enough. When the one section of the alps shined through, oh wow! It was like the pictures I saw before we booked the room. What a sweet town. If we were to go back to this town again, we would definitely choose this amazing place run by these hotel experts. Only once in my life can I remember having more attentive staff. Highly recommend!

There unfortunately was a faint smell of cigarette smoke throughout the property which was noticeable in all communal areas and our room. The room was spotlessly clean though.

A very cozy and clean guesthouse with a stunning mountain view. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The hosts were especially warm and welcoming, always ready to help with anything. Breakfasts were tasty with a good variety of options. The location is also excellent — close to the ski lifts and main attractions of the area.
