How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewNice, well lit, brand new (or renovated) hotel, with spacey interiors, kind and helpful staff. Fantastic gym, nice wellness area (although the hottest sauna not hot enough despite having several ones with varying temperatures, Large, comfortable ski depot, convenient underground garage. Fairly large room mit sizeable TV and streaming options, large balcony.
Our room stank of paint, strong chemical smell was probably due to new furniturea and/or renovation, but it was almost unbereable and likely not very healthy. Bed matrasse way too soft and bouncy, could not sleep for the first 2 nights and developed back pain, after flipping the mattrasse the other side was somewhat firmer, but still not comfortable to sleep. The design is minimalistic and industrial which is OK , but the floor in the room was bare concrete, cold, so were walls, and all sound from people walking and slamming their heals reverberated throughout ceiling,walls, making sleep a challenge (even with earplugs). Soap dispenser is illogically placed in the farthest possible location from the bathroom sink, rather than next to it, so you can't use it while standing above the sink, Cryptic light and ventillation switches require more time to learn than an average hotel stay. No minibar or at least minifridge in the room, no kettle for boiling tea water (some stuff was available in a shared kitchen). Breakfast pretty basic. For dinner, even if you paid for halfboard, you need to book the table every morning (or for the entire stay in advance) and you have 2 booking options (around 5PM and around 8PM). If you forget to book, you are left with the bistro food, which in the end may even be a better option as you have like 2 food choices for the halfboard dinner, and the food we selected was so bad that we only used our halfboard option once and took the bistro food. Food in general was not good (with the exception of sirloin steak which was tasty and well made), the per glas wine choice (chardonnay - which had a pink shade to it (?) and "cuveé" whatever that meant) was pretty undrinkable. You have to wait for the food very long. Overall, this hotel seems very overpriced for what it has to offer, also has more of a student hostel wibe, rather than an expensive hotel and ambience is lacking.

Your feedback is very important to us, and we’d like to address a few points: Room Comfort and Smell The noticeable smell in the room is actually due to everything being brand new. Hopefully, it will fade over time, but this is something that often happens in freshly opened rooms. We will make sure to ventilate more thoroughly before guests check in. We also take your comments on mattress firmness—it’s always tricky because preferences vary so much—and soundproofing seriously and will look into possible improvements. Amenities and Design Thank you for your feedback on small but important details, such as the placement of the soap dispenser. We actually discussed this at length and ultimately couldn’t find a better spot, as we didn’t want to attach it to the large mirror. The lighting and ventilation systems are smart home-equipped and may take some time to get used to. As for the minibar, we deliberately chose to forgo it since it was rarely used over the past 30 years but still consumed a lot of energy. Instead, guests staying in our Large Stay category have free access to the tea bar in the restaurant, which is why we decided against in-room tea facilities. We’ll take your suggestions into account and consider how we can improve this in the future. Dining Experience It’s true that waiting times in the restaurant were sometimes longer. The hotel was fully booked during your stay, and our team is working hard to become faster every day—which we already have! We're sorry that the menu didn’t fully meet your expectations. Your suggestions regarding dish selection, table reservations, and wine quality are extremely valuable to us. Price-Performance Ratio We understand your concerns regarding pricing.
