I thought the road it was located on wasn't a major road, however, there were numerous motorcycle swooping by even after 9pm. There are a lot of motorcycles in this region. I think they should ban those from making noises on those roads.

This is perhaps one of the most beautiful hotels/accommodation place, for lack of better description, that I ever stayed in this area. It is located in the middle of a lot of grass field, almost like in a fairy-tale, and the breakfast was delicious. We didn't have time to visit the grinding mill. I just read something very quick about the history of the place, almost 600 years?!! It apparently has a long history, and the owner was very nice. I think dinner here would have been also very nice. They have daily fish. We checked in around 8pm so I couldn't enjoy the surrounding area as much. Wish we could have stayed another night. One could take a nice walk for sure. You have to pay the city tax in cash. That seems to be the norm in the lake region.

The beds were really soft-some people may not like it. also the automatic shades on the windows went down only half way so the light came in the room very early. Breakfast was ok.

An amazing location in nature next to a beautiful river, you can hike wherever you want. a 10 min drive to Mondsee. The room was big and comfortable and Antonia the owner is really nice.

Room is facing a country road, if you are light sleeper the (thankfully rare) traffic might disturb. But after a day's hike this wasn't a problem.

Good location, close to the bike trail and only a couple of minutes away (with the bike) from the lake. Very nice staff and good communication with the owner. Spacious room with private wc and a small kitchen corner. Possibility of total darkness, since there were blinds in the room.

A perfect accommodation in a perfect environment. The landscape is absolutely stunning in every direction — whether you’re up for a short walk or a longer hike, there are plenty of options. We arrived during rainy weather, but still went out to explore, and it was truly worth it — just beautiful. The accommodation itself is fantastic, with a great atmosphere. It’s very well-equipped, clean, and tastefully furnished. We informed the hosts in advance that we’d be arriving late, and they were already waiting for us — we were welcomed as if we were returning home to a kind relative. I had accidentally booked a twin room instead of a double, and when I asked if it was possible to switch, they immediately made the change for us without any problem. The breakfast was really tasty. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place — the surroundings and the hosts are simply amazing.

The location is superb. It’s just 2 kms away from Mondsee town but still gives you the feeling of living in country side.

Our stay at Erlachmühle in early October was truly enchanting. The rooms provided a remarkable experience, being notably clean, well-organized, and welcoming, suggesting recent renovation. This property, with deep roots in tradition, has remained in the same family for at least three generations. Additionally, the adjacent building owned by the same family houses one of the few remaining operational mills in the region, with records dating back to 1416. The emphasis on regional production and the organic quality of the food offered at the hotel is noteworthy, ensuring an exceptionally tasty gastronomic experience. The breakfast deserves special mention, featuring a variety of traditional breads, smoked fish, regional charcuterie, and cheeses that celebrate the local culinary richness. The attention and joy displayed by the owning family and the entire staff made our stay even more enjoyable. It was a true pleasure to meet them. Furthermore, it's important to highlight that the hotel offers on-site parking at no additional cost. The journey to the establishment is an experience in itself, with winding curves unfolding amid a stunning landscape. This natural beauty can be easily appreciated from the guest room windows and the open area near the breakfast room. The property's location is strategic, with nearby amenities such as a Billa supermarket just a 4-minute drive away, McDonald's a 3-minute drive away, and a gas station a 3-minute drive away. Additionally, the center of Mondsee is only a 6-minute drive away. Despite this convenient proximity, the hotel manages to provide a tranquil, private atmosphere and an exceptional connection with nature. In summary, Erlachmühle is an excellent place to enjoy a revitalizing weekend or as a starting point for exploring the region, which is filled with stunning lakes and spectacular mountain landscapes.

Noisy motorcycles often were running up and down on the country road close to our room. The bed mattresses were too soft.

Breakfast was very good. The owner was very kind. The location was excellent for bike tours along lakes. Free storage place for our e-bikes. Staying is this old "mühle", which is still operational, was an unique experience.

Nice remote location, outside of busy city life. Mondsee can be reached even by foot by taking the path along the stream. We stayed in a big apartment on the top floor; very clean rooms, comfy bed and nice view from the balcony. Best thing about our stay: the breakfast. The home made pancakes served each morning are simply amazing!
