Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkI have nothing to put a finger on! We were so happy with our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Arpuria! We loved every minute of it. The breakfast was SO good, everything very fresh and a lot of choices. The wellness area was very nice and was even better than we expected. A lot of different choices in the spa area and with free fruit and water. It was so nice, with the option about renting mountainbike and worked so well. We had them for 3 days. Also the staff is very helpful with information about good routes. The best thing about the stay, was the feeling of being seen and feeling special as a guest. With little surprises at the arrival, under the stay and when we checked out. The staff was very lovely and always friendly and helpful - 10/10! I could go on and on, about how fantastic this stay was. We will definitely go there again at some point! Thank you so much for a good stay!

United KingdomThe hotel is a little way outside the town, up a steep hill. It's a pleasant walk down, but we took a taxi back up. We were told they run shuttles to the ski slopes in winter and you can store ski equipment next to the cable car free of charge through the hotel.
Hotel has been refurbished and is a nice mix of old and modern. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and bathroom is well equipped with a great shower and Rituals toiletries. Staff were without exception fabulous - very friendly, extremely helpful, and always ready with a smile. Food was excellent, so much so that we cancelled a dinner reservation we'd made in town for the final night and chose to eat in the hotel a third time instead. Lovely wellness area with a pool, hot tub, sauna and salt room as well as lots of relaxation areas. Sauna is unclothed but everywhere else allows swimwear. Breakfast buffet is not enormous but everything is of a really high quality and there's a good selection of fruit, cheese, meats and hot food available on request. Lovely views out over the mountains and St Anton itself.

Luxury touches really make it. On edge of town and up a hill but that means you wake up to a beautiful view. Shuttle bus available but we just walked it; it’s fine. Breakfast is spot on, spa is very relaxing

SwitzerlandWe stayed in room 207 recently after having a great experience in room 306 a week earlier and noted a few places that fell short of the expectations we had. In room 207, the radiator heater was not working, and though the in-floor heating did function, it was a little slow to get going. A staff member came to check on it very soon and said he would let his supervisor know – however, during our two-night break, the room still felt quite cool. Another thing, the bathroom door could not shut properly, which the hotel already knew about prior to us checking in. On a positive note, the food at the restaurant was simply amazing. Perhaps the only slight areas that needed improvement would be in the service: for instance, in the case of water refills, it was necessary to ask for them, while also the empty drinks from the bar took longer to be removed from the table than anticipated. During one dinner, they were never removed. These are minor issues, However resolving them would indeed align the service to the very high standards of the restaurant’s fine dining that it has to offer. All in all, we still appreciated our trip and our time in the restaurant, but a few changes could have made it outstanding.
The free coffee and tea bar, along with the snacks in the spa area and the delightful candy bar, are such thoughtful touches that truly enhance the overall experience. The staff are consistently kind, welcoming, and professional, creating a warm atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The half-board rate is incredibly reasonable, especially considering the delicious, high-quality meals served. The spa is a real highlight—an excellent space to fully unwind and recharge. Room #306 is absolutely wonderful—modern, cozy, and beautifully appointed. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. While we loved our stay in #306, room #207 didn’t quite meet the same standards. We stayed in both during two separate trips just a week apart, and while the hotel overall remains fantastic, we’d recommend requesting room #306 for the best experience. Being asked upon check-in if we had a nice trip getting to the hotel was nice.

AustraliaNothing.
St Anton at this time of year is very quiet and little much else is open. Summer season starts about mid to late June. For anyone without a car, it is a considerable walk - the return is uphill - if you want to go to centre of town to eat etc. But as nothing is really open, one eats at the hotel. If arriving by train, they offer a shuttle; much appreciated. But the trade off is the quiet, and, from the front rooms, the view. Breakfast could not be faulted.

United KingdomOur double room was very small. Also, the evening meals were not a good value for money. I ordered rabbit with polenta for our first dinner at the hotel. The rabbit was too salty, polenta was both very heavy (perhaps too much butter was added) and salty. For our second dinner, we ordered fondu. It was too boozy - perhaps too much white wine was added? The chef needs to up her game.
Breakfasts were brilliant, with a good choice of healthy options. The hotel has been recently refurbished and everything looks clean, new, and modern. The spa is fantastic.

United KingdomOnly negative would be the walk up from town as it’s a steep incline and the room is a little small and we had to share a balcony.
Property is lovely, beds are exceptionally comfortable! The food in the restaurant is fabulous, exquisite! Everything had been cooked and presented beautifully. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help.
