How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewVery charming and beautiful hotel. The staff was professional and attentive to every detail. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The location is perfect, close to the city center. Breakfast was rich and tasty with a wide variety of options. The evening menu was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking quality, comfort, and exceptional hospitality.
The spa area with saunas was only for naked people. It would be preferable to have a sauna option for those who don't want to undress and walk around naked.

Verified reviewLove that this hotel is dog friendly and they go the extra mile with bowls, a dog bed, treats, poo bags etc. The night staff was great- we were a late arrival and they made sure we had a gluten free meal waiting in our room as the kitchen would be closed before we arrived. Clean room, great views.
I'm not a fan of the scent they use as I just want to breathe in the fresh air. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet bowl. Very minor things.

Verified reviewThe hotel is excellent, with outstanding service quality. The meals are indulgent and very tasty. Cleanliness is superb.
The only disappointment was the spa, as most of the better and more attractive facilities are located in the nude area. Guests wearing swimsuits have access to fewer and less impressive amenities.

It’s only when entering the saunas or steam bath itself that we kindly ask guests to be nude, in keeping with the traditional spa culture. At the same time, I would like to address your concern regarding the conversation with the restaurant manager: In our hotel, there is an evening dress code in the restaurant, which is part of our house rules. This is clearly communicated not only through our information sheet upon arrival but also on our official website. Guests are kindly requested not to attend dinner in bare feet, flip-flops, or sportswear. When you and your partner appeared at the buffet barefoot or in flip-flops and sportswear, fresh from exercising, I politely and calmly informed you about this in a quiet manner. There were no other guests nearby, which is why I believed a direct and discreet reminder was the most respectful solution. I immediately apologized for any inconvenience caused and simply requested adherence to our house rules. Respecting and providing a pleasant experience for all our guests is very important to us, as is maintaining a well-kept ambiance, especially in the evenings. The staff was always friendly and ready to assist with anything. The spa was an amazing experience – of very high quality, spacious, clean, and relaxing. It was clear that the hotel paid attention to every small detail to ensure a perfect experience. It's worth noting that the spa is nude-only, which might be unfamiliar to some, but once you get over the initial hesitation, it’s an unforgettable experience. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the staff was courteous and welcoming. An excellent experience all around – we’ll definitely be back!

Verified reviewthe staff was very nice, the spa, the pool area is very well maintained, spacey and elegant. I loved the ambience of the spa, the sauna seance and the cleanliness. The breakfast has great selection, tasty food and full of healthy options, juices etc. At the lobbybar we had amazing wiener schnitzel, soup and kaiserschmarren.
The spa and pool area is fantastic, but the water was a bit cold for an outside pool. The spa and sauna staff was very kind and nice. I came with kids and since they not allowed at the sauna area it was difficult to enjoy it for myself. I had to leave my kids outside at the spa reception and rush back after. We found the dinner not as tasty as the other foods. We missed the hotels shuttle bus on the first day and on the second we should've wait 40 mins so it would be nice to have either more bus or have option to call. (because we called a taxi but a guy just took it) anyway it just a 10 mins walk, but when you are alone with two kids and with all the equipment it can be tough.

Verified reviewIt was our second time. The service of the hotel went beyond every expectation. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is charming. The room was comfortable, well-equipped, had a nice view from the balcony. The buffet breakfast had a great variety, and the 5 meal dinner was absolutely the finest dining experience, accompanied by a great service from the whole restaurant team. And last but not least the wellness, with a dedicated sauna area, sauna infusions offered 4 times a day, that is also a top quality. We were in the pre-season, but the price–performance ratio is absolutely great.
If only the Eastern European guest would also comply to the wellness and sauna rules, and respect the other with talking quietly or only outside of the sauna area.
