How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe place is beautiful and quiet, and the owner of the cabin is very cheerful and helpful. The kitchen has everything from a stove and good ventilation. The view is a breathtaking view of the mountains and cows in the morning, very beautiful.
The presence of the stuffed animals was a bit scary to me.

Verified reviewWhat I liked the most was value for money. With the summer card for my entire family, net cost reduced significantly. I am not sure if this is the norm in most of the stay homes in the region. Also very friendly owner who received us well, took care of all our queries and easily available when I needed.
Two suggestions for the prospective tenants to know. Also owner - you can solve these 2 suggestions and comment here if you think important. - The property has 7-8 flats. It would be good to list the flat types separately and put respective pictures for each flat type rather than putting 250+ pictures of entire property in one listing, as the configuration of the flats are totally different and the tenants need to know which flat type is he/she going to get for the price. I got misled looking into nice bathrooms and window rooms in listing pics and was disappointed to find cosy 3ftx3ft bathrooms and toilets and confined attic rooms without wall windows. Some may like this but it should be shared in listing. - Please please please remove the clutter from passage way and change the old carpet. No one would like to see 20 pairs of shoes greeting them in passageway when they go for holidays.
Are you sure, that you were in our house? There are pictures of every room on the website! You were not able to find it? You are the first one that could not find the pictures of his room! The "family room" that you booked has a large panorama window! When you are sitting in the living room you can see all the nature and mountains around our house! Only the sleeping room has a roof window! But what are you doing during daytime in the sleeping room? Almost the whole wall to the balcony is of glass! Your are sitting in the middle of the nature! You could not see the large panorama window? It is the decision of the guest, to have the dirty shoes outside of the apartment! We and the guests do not want the dirty shoes in the apartment! But we do not force the guests. So it is on you, to put your shoes in the apartment! We do not need advices from someone who is not able to find the pictures of the room he booked. And can not see the huge panorma window in the living room!

Verified reviewIt's been a great stay with the family. Very spacious apartment with a multiple rooms and balcony. Quiet area with a walking distance to the village and lake. Very friendly and helpful owner.
Just a note that this a 200 years old house so kitchen facilities are little limited (hotplate with two burners and no dishwasher) but it was still managable to prepare dinner for the family.

Verified reviewWe enjoyed our stay at the bacherhof resort. We were skiing for a few days and enjoyed the breakfast and the comfortable beds. The host and the family are very nice and helpful. The location was very good for us, near kaprun /zell am see/saalbach ski areas. Hopefully I'll have the chance to get back again. Thank you for having us Miki & noga

Verified reviewLocation is perfect for all the day trips. There are few supermarkets and restaurants in the area. Hosts are really sweet and explained to us about the area so well. You get a national summer card for free which Includes many activities for free and discount to few of them. We would love to visit again.
Except for a few small things we don't remember anything that has to be mentioned here.

Verified reviewNeat and clean room, friendly hosts, kitchen with moderate accessories, nice location. The sommer card was a bonus with the stay. A lot of free activities like cable car, swimming, taxi service, museums etc. are free with this card.
We needed an extra bed for our son, and after placing the bed, there was not enough room to walk.
Thank you for your visit. You rented a small apartment. But we have larger apartments. Next time take a large one!
