The location is right at the heart of Pöchlarn, in a street with basically no traffic, a 2-minute walk from the Danube shore. It seemed to me like a family-run pension with all of its benefits, like the attention to guests: in the rooms there's a list of local restaurants and bars with phone numbers, opening hours and the time it takes to reach them by foot; a fridge with beer and beverages and a shelf reserved for guests to store their food. The host, Stefan is super friendly. While the rooms are rather on the basic side when it comes to equipment (they have AC though which I find far from being standard in German-speaking countries), they are well maintained and super clean, overall what I would expect from a 3-star place. The breakfast has good variety.

Nothing major, I found the mattress and the pillow quite soft so having firmer ones could be an improvement.

The pension was very nice, situated in the Center of the city. The owner greet us and explain everything upon check in. The breakfast was tasty with a lot of choices. The pension was perfect for 1 night.

We stayed here for one night on our way to France and the place exceeded our expectations. We thought we had just reserved a place to sleep, but the pension was so much more - spotlessly clean, quiet, felt like home with the attention to every detail and very nice interior decoration. The owner was also very kind and hospitable, breakfast plentiful and we really enjoyed the small-town atmosphere and the nice stroll along the Danube. We would definitely choose this accommodation again and highly recommend it.

Everything was just great

Comfortable and clean bed and breakfast. Host is very friendly and welcoming. We have stayed here twice now and are not disappointed. We will stay here again if we are in the area.

Nothing to complain about.

This was the most positively surprising hotel on our summer vacation. The price might make you think it is somewhat mediocre but that is far from the truth. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is spotless, the beds-albeit twins, were incredibly comfortable, there was a ceiling fan in the room for the hot evenings, the breakfast was outstanding. We were able to store our bicycles without issue. This was a definite standout for us and we would not hesitate to recommend this to others and stay here again!!

I was only there for a brief stay, but the bed was very comfortable, the shower was pleasant, and it's a nice location next to the Danube. I enjoyed a good conversation with the host, Stefan.

This was our second time staying at this lovely place, and once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The breakfast is rich with plenty of options, perfect for starting the day. The location is ideal, just a short walk from a beautiful promenade along the Danube, which made for some lovely morning/evening strolls. A special mention to the owner, Mr. Stefan, whose friendliness and attentiveness really made us feel welcome. The rooms were immaculately clean, and overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

While our stay was enjoyable, one small issue we noticed was the water pressure in the shower. It wasn’t a major inconvenience, but mid-shower, there was a noticeable change in temperature. It didn’t ruin our experience, but it’s something that could be improved. Still, it wasn’t enough to detract from an otherwise great stay

Very cosy and nice place to stay in Pochlarn, very close to the bike track along the Danube. The room is big, nice, comfortable and the breakfast ok and diversified. There is also a place for the bikes. The host, Mr. Stefan, was very kind and gave us a lot of useful information.

The pension is clean and quiet and well-located for using the local cycling paths. The locale is pretty and for us its location was conveniently close location to Vienna.

Warm welcome, very friendly host, very nice breakfast

Owner is a lovely guy and was very accommodating for us arriving at abnormal hours. Great communication throughout, nice beds and generally very clean. Breakfast was great and again, lovely owner offered us more tea or coffee. Good customer service is rare in Austria but it's very very good here and I'd have no hesitation coming back or recommending this place.

It's extremely hard to find anything bad to be honest. I dropped something on the floor and noticed when I moved the bedside table to find it, this area of the floor hadn't been cleaned - but this is a very minor point and is meant solely as constructive criticism, as I'd definitely come back here as it's great.

Lovely guesthouse with beautiful garden courtyard, big rooms, friendly owner and yummy breakfast. An oasis at the end of the day.
