Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyAt least kettle should be kept I was not provided with salzburgerland guest pass Looks like there was problem with PC but I had to struggle a lot because transportation in Austria is very expensive so I had to spend 250 euros on transportation what otherwise would have been free. Owner of the guest house did share some burden but that wasn't enough. If you are planning to travel by public transportation then it is better to check with the owner once before booking the guest house.

NorwayThe breakfast buffet is hearty, delicious, and great value, though note it’s cash-only, as is the tourist tax. The free Wi-Fi and parking were a big plus, but late check-ins after 20:00 can be tricky, as parking and room access may be limited. The staff’s friendliness and the serene, mountain-surrounded setting made our stay truly relaxing. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway, just plan for early arrival and cash for extras!
Thank you, Gästehaus Sunkler, for a delightful stay in Golling an der Salzach! The location is ideal, just a short walk to the town center and near attractions like Golling Castle and Aqua Salza. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped with cable TV and balconies offering breathtaking Alpine views.

United StatesTiny, cramped parking lot on a busy street making it hard to get in and out. The hostess was not very friendly and her instructions to enter the building were not very clear, and frankly insulting. The preliminary information did not inform me that all payments must be in cash. Only a small, laminated sign in the room itself stated the cash only policy, and it was in German on the side showing, with the English translation on the underside. It didn't occur to me to turn it over. We arrived tired after a long day and just dropped into bed and went to sleep. When I went to check out the next morning, the hostess shrieked that I must pay in cash and when I left to find an ATM to get the cash, she held my sister as hostage. Altogether, not the most pleasant experience.
The room was adequate and clean. Very small space, but had the bare necessities.
