How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified review- Open-air parking (at hotel backyard) - especially useful if you travel with roof-top luggage and 1.9m garages as usual in big cities are no-go. - Quite and nice location - Family atelier with a lot of space and 2 separate rooms and possibillty to cook own food - Bio breakfasts - View at Vienna when driving down from hotel
- In order to enter the bathroom, you need to pass through the bedroom. - Roof windows only, so no possible to get fresh air durign the rain (which is needed in the attic that gets exposed to the sun).

The bathroom is next to the bedroom, but there is still a door between the living room with the extra beds. Its an attic room, but air conditioned and calm. You can still open the windows by the control stystem at the wall, though. By enjoying our organic breakfast, you can also enjoy the view to Vienna city centre from the conservatory. Verified reviewFree parking, apartment was reasonably clean, reasonably furnished, staff polite and courteous, paid drink and snack options were available at the reception.
We wanted a decent stop for one night during our road trip. Location is up a hill, feels more isolated than simply peaceful, no quick food or drink options nearby. Also not really convenient for a quick exit to the highway. Parking inside the courtyard is a hit or miss since courtyard is not designed as a proper parking lot. I think if you arrive late, you may struggle to park. There is no electric charging station, as advertised. The common areas are a bit dated and I did not feel breakfast was value for money. My kids did not sleep very well. The matress was directly on the floor and space was tight. They have experience sleeping on tatami and enjoying it but in this case it was not comfortable. All in all, sorry to say but I would not book again, the experience felt subpar.

Since we are located in a green area, it is easy to relax with us, yet you can still reach the city quite quickly by public transport. However, this is not to everyone's taste, which is why we emphasize this clearly on our website. One advantage is that we offer free parking spaces based on availability, which you can hardly find anywhere else in Vienna. Like every hotel in the city, that offers parking, it is limited. Often it works out for all our guests, but not always. Otherwise, there is the possibility to park for free outside from 10:00 PM to 09:00 AM, as well as on weekends and public holidays. Usually, parking spaces in our courtyard open up again the morning. However, we would like to point out that this advantage should not be the only reason to book with us, but serves as an additional bonus. If you do not appreciate our concept of the Organic Hotel and cannot handle the fact that it is a historic building, renovated with great attention to detail, where old elements have been deliberately preserved and upcycled, or that we are located in a green area on a hill, please don`t book us. For guests with electric vehicles, we offer the option to charge their cars in our courtyard for a flat fee, depending on the size of the car. But there are also charging stations nearby. Our breakfast consists of 100% organic products; we make our own cakes, jams, and spreads, and we offer fresh egg dishes. If you find another hotel in the city that offers the same at a lower price than us, please let us know. However, organic breakfast is not worth the money for everyone. Our studios accommodate families with up to 2 children. The mattress of the sofa bed is laid directly on the floor, but its quite high and for most of our guests, its comfortable to lie on. Verified reviewThe property was quaint and quiet and easily accessible to public transportation. We never had an issue with parking the rental car and could grab uber when needed. The room was standard in size and worked for us. Breakfast was the highlight of our day 😊 and the “lunch box” offered on the early morning of departure was perfect. Convenience of the bar at reception was also a plus.
I wish we had more options for lunch and dinner at or near the hotel. We toured in Vienna during the day and didn’t always want to stay in town for dinner. Even if the hotel offered a set (light) lunch menu, it would be more convenient.
