A lovely, friendly family run hotel, in a great location. Good atmosphere. Good breakfast buffet. Comfortable rooms. We had a fantastic view of the mountains and the lake. Helpful owners and staff.

Bathroom looked to be 20 years old, pretty worn out, could definitely use an update. Also there were 2-3 black hairs in the shower and the sink from the previous guest… not ideal. My room faced a main road so lots of traffic noise with the windows open, but the soundproofing is perfect with them closed. And no laundry service (there is one directly across the road but they’re not open on weekends).

Excellent value for money, comfortable, great location, good breakfast, quiet, very close to bus stop (4 mins walk), 5 mins walk to lakefront promenade and 5-6 mins walk to free swimming spots (though unfortunately didn’t get to swim during my stay).

It was 32'C during my stay. Some form of air conditioning would have been welcome.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The owner was informative and helpful. My room was cozy and inviting with a balcony to sit outside. For breakfast a lovely array of meats and cheeses, croissants and breads including fruit juices and various types of coffee were available.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel in great location near bus stop and cable car at the top of the town. We had a balcony room which was lovely to sit on for some outdoor space. Great breakfast.

Markus and his family were welcoming and so helpful throughout the stay. The location was an excellent base for exploring St. Gilgen and the surrounding area, centrally located to transportation and town. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

A little bit pricey for the size of the bed and room, to be honest.

Early check in was super convenient and location was great. Room was a bit pricey but it was great quality, bed very soft and warm. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and my bus ticket to Salzburg was included in my stay. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone coming to St Gilgen.

The room was a little warm due to the outside air temperature, but we just opened a window and were fine. The only thing strange was that the shower head was in the middle of the tub wall instead of on the end which made it a little weird to navigate. In the end, it was perfectly fine though! Some magnets to keep the shower curtain attached to the tub would be great if they could add that!

The room was lovely with plenty of room. The breakfast was delicious! The staff was super friendly. And the maid staff hung up my husband and daughter's clothes that were wet from their morning run which was very thoughtful.

- Water drainage in shower booth could be better - Sound proofing, could hear upstairs walking and moving things around from 6am
