Wide selection of food, warm rolls. Breakfest was perfect. Calm and nice place of hotel. Close to interesting places.

In our room was mattress too soft and saggy.

The place is quite , nice view , good for relaxation. There is a playground for kids. Breakfast is good.

The room I was given was not big enough for family with 2 kids, it was too small for 4 persons. I was expecting something more suitable for family.

Very clean, quiet rural location. Guest Mobility ticket was very useful for getting about with public transport.V

Didn't really see any staff except on arrival & in the restaurant. Would have liked more choice on the restaurant menu, particularly some local dishes and an English version of menu would have been helpful as would more tourist leaflets in English to be available if possible.

Food was excellent. The restaurant in the evening was superb. For breakfast, there was a huge choice.

We stayed during very hot weather, and the room would have benefited from a fan or air con, but it was bearable.

The location is absolutely gorgeous. Close to Salzburg but very quiet and country side. Breakfast was great, fresh chicken eggs are amazing. The breakfast buffet and outdoor terrace have gorgeous views. The room is a moderate size for 5. There are hiking trails starting right from the guesthouse.

Excellent service from staff, breathtaking views and very welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel. We had an enjoyable experience as a family.

It could use some restoration.

We had a very good stay at the hotel Hotel-Gasthof am Riedl. We booked a family room which has one double bed and a bunk bed. The room is beautifully decorated and very spacious. It has a balcony with precious views of the Alps. The room contains basic facilities like water cooker, refrigerator, hairdresser, closets etc. We found at our arrival that the sink in the bathroom was clogged and the refrigerator was not working properly. The staff immediately helped soon as we informed about those. There is a little playroom inside and small playground outside the hotel, so very convenient to stay with children as well. The accommodation also offers free parking, thus a greqt added benefit! Also, we were late to check out, which they understood and didn't charge us any fines. Overall, we are extremely happy with our stay and highly recommend 😀

The breakfast was very repetitive, would be great with adding some variety.

The room was spacious and very comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The natural surroundings were absolutely beautiful, and the views from the window were stunning. The location is also perfect — close to the city, yet peaceful and scenic.

One downside was the breakfast experience: on several occasions, the tables weren't cleared promptly after previous guests, and we had to eat surrounded by dirty dishes. It would be great if this could be improved.

Breakfast is really delicious and offers a wide variety of choices. We have also tried dinner, it was very good, service was also fast and kind. There is a small playground outside, it should be a bit renovated, but children liked it. Lady at reception was very kind and spoke a quite nice English.

Economy room is too small for 4 people (2 adults, 2 children). Wardrobes could not be opened due to the sofa. The room was not nice, not like in the pictures. Under the fridge there were carton boxes to hold it (as its cable was too short) and it made a warehouse feeling for the room. Bedclothes and towels had an unpleasant smell. Towel holder and toilet seat were broken.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The location is perfect—just 15 minutes by car to Salzburg city center, and the surrounding area offers a fantastic view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there’s a nice, convenient parking area.

However, there were a couple of downsides: the curtain in the room didn’t block out the outside lights or morning sun, making it hard to sleep, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom drain. Still, overall it was a nice experience.

Superb Location, Good Room, Lovely Staff

The standard in Austria is high overall, and so you can hardly go wrong with accommodation in that country. So basic cleanliness and good state of repair was also true about this particular facility. Food was OK given this is Austria (in Italy, I would expect a higher standard, but hey, one has to be realistic).

The additional double bed in the room felt narrow and also the matresses were of a lower standard than in the main bed. Overall, I had a much more comfortable sleep in other hotels I stayed in, including in Eastern Europe. The first night, a noisy party was held by locals in the hotel restaurant, so we really appreciated that the pub was closed the next day (Ruhetag) and we got a much better sleep the next night.

Very nice and friendly place, extremely kind staff helping in any questions. We even got a travel ticket to use in the region, it was a big help. Very close to Salzburg but you're still in the countryside. Direct access to the city centre. Clean place with a wide selection of food for breakfast. You can even borrow umbrellas from the reception. Wonderful view from the room.

The room desperately needs renovation. Some room elements are falling apart. The cleanliness could be better, ventilation of a room was quite bad.
