How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Perfect location, beautiful view from the balcony. The owners were very nice and welcoming. The whole place was amazing, perfect for a relaxing stay.

Beds and pillows are really soft. Rooms has no small fridge and there was only one trashbin in the bathroom.
Really nice and helpful staff. Excellent wellness and great food and breakfast. Clean and large rooms. Good location and nice views from the balconies.

Quick check in, family own hotel , good breakfast with nice view to field, free parking and wifi. Restaurant was nice and plenty choice of local beer.

Neukirchen itself has not much to see, and you need to drive away if you wanted a lake, or town with more options for eating or shopping. But the Hotel was worth spending the whole time there for our short stay.
The food was excellent, probably the highlight or our trip. The pool was beautiful, and surroundings perfectly clean and organised. For more things to do, Attersee is a quick drive away, with lots of options for activities.

Everything was perfect, delicious breakfast, nice and helpful staff, awsome swimmingpool and comfortable room. The location is suitable for trips to lakes. I fully recomend this place and hopefully visit again, we and the kids as well enjoy this hotel.

We had such a lovely time! The hotel is just beautiful with really nice staff. The room was huge, the breakfast was so delicious, and the spa area was fantastic.

The restaurant has great food and I can definitely recommend it. Aside from that, the bed was really comfortable and the personel working there was really friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there.

All was good, nothing to mention here.
Great, calm place with nice and comfortable rooms. Our was for 4 people (2+2 kids) and it was enough. Also the breakfast was fresh and diverse. Parking places in front of the hotel or in the backyard. The owner was very helpful and kind. Kids were excited of the workouts and the swimming pool which was nice relax after the hiking. We recommend to everyone.

In room no air condition. And near hotel is church. When is hot outside, window is open and then cannot sleep long because of bells on church.
Great place with garden and kids playzone and amazing pool. Absolutely great food in hotel's restaurant.

If I have to search for a negative, it would be that you had to go outside to get to the spa area and by the restaurant. That was not much of a problem at all, but a small inconvenience.
Very nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff. The room smelled great, and if you notice a room smells good, it really does smell good. I was quite surprised of the very modern and clean spa area with pool, sauna and fitness room. Also the restaurant served very good food. Overall I can just really recommend this hotel!

The restaurant being randomly closed the night we were there and no viable alternative nearby. Austrian hotels not only close for two or three weeks out of season but close bits or all on catholic bank holidays. Having travelled from Graz and Vienna respectively it meant we went without a proper evening meal
