The hotel is excellent. Not far from hiking trails, the bus station, and just a few minutes walk from the lake. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the hosts are extremely hospitable, and the breakfast is great!

Nothing to mention, all was perfect.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights and were absolutely thrilled. The location is excellent – about 10 minutes by car to St. Wolfgang or a 45-minute walk. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel. From the accommodation, you can take a beautiful circular walk to Strobl and back, or continue along the lakeside path. There’s also a nice playground nearby. The hotel has a sauna (which we didn’t use) and a very pleasant covered outdoor terrace where you can sit even when it’s raining (we enjoyed it twice). The restaurant offers a combination of traditional Austrian and Thai cuisine – we tried both and everything was delicious. At breakfast, we appreciated the wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as excellent homemade spreads. But what truly makes this place stand out are the incredibly kind and helpful owners, who also serve in the restaurant. They never forgot to check if we were missing anything, the owner greeted us with a cheerful “Ahoj” in Czech, and when we left, we even received a bottle of homemade elderflower syrup – the same one they use for their Hugo cocktails, which we happily indulged in during happy hour :) We honestly can’t think of a single thing to criticize – the warm and friendly service made everything even more enjoyable. Thank you!

This was not an issue for us, but some might feel that the hotel is a bit out of the way if wanting easier access to St. Wolfgang shopping and sightseeing. You will need to drive to there. But if you want a quieter, more peaceful stay closer to hiking trails and a leisurely run around the lake, this is the spot!

The family-owned and run establishment is beautifully built with simple, yet smart touches. It is exceptionally clean and has plenty of parking, even for our 9-person van! The rooms are spacious and family-friendly. The breakfast is a must - made to order eggs and omelettes were fresh and perfectly cooked, the breakfast bar was plentiful with everything you could imagine from fresh fruit to cereals and homemade granola to meats and cheeses, and the homemade breads with homemade jams were to die for! The owners are incredibly friendly and personalized our experience which we greatly appreciated as we were traveling as a family that included teens and elderly grandparents.

It is a gem at the most beautiful lake in Austria. The hotel’s management is incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaurant has amazing Austrian and also Thai food, waiters are friendly. We have arrived with a 6 months old baby girl they offered us with a cot and they even provided us with a baby seat for dinners. Baby and adult friendly accomodation recommended to all who visit Wolfgangsee.

Excellent family stay. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, real professionals. They helped us with everything - suggesting best bike roots, advising on sightseeing locations, booking tickets and many more. The hotel was very comfortable, cozy, very clean. We booked a regular family room but the owner upgraded it to a top suite. Location was very convenient, calm and quiet. Restaurant provides excellent local but also Thai food. We will definitely come back to you again!

Staying close to the Wolfgangsee at this lovely hotel was a pleasant experience. Wolfgang and his family were excellent hosts, providing a comfortable studio and a delicious breakfast that made us feel at home.

First of all, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was excellent, and the room was clean. The location is also amazing; it is convenient to go hiking or take a bus to the sightseeing views.

We had a great stay, the hotel is in a beautiful location and our room had a view of the lake (You can walk/bike easily along to Sankt Wolfgang im Salzkammergut (there is a bike/walk road) and there is a really beautiful walk right in front of the hotel that leads to Strobl). The room itself was comfy and spacious (we had a separated bedroom and livingroom which was really convenient in the evenings with a small child). We had breakfasts and dinners at the hotel and the food was excellent. The staff were really super nice and friendly and gave helpful suggestions for activities and helped us book them. It was a very kid-friendly place even with a playcorner for kids in the restaurant. There is a large playground directly opposite the hotel which we really enjoyed.

Wolfgang and Caroline are the most helpful and friendly hosts I have ever met. The hosts organised bike hire and advised on the best routes for all our family members. The clean and cosy spa centre with sauna was very relaxing after we had been mountain biking all day. The variety and flavour of the breakfast dishes delighted us throughout our 9 days stay. We will definitely come back to you again!
