Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This was a brilliant place to stay, a little away from the lakeside (about a 10 minute walk) but close to all the footpaths and the bus stop. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and all in all a lovely place to be for our 5 night stay.

United KingdomThe location was amazing for the price. The food at breakfast and in the restaurant in the evening were excellent. Our only small gripe was that there wasn’t any tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. I would definitely recommend the Gasthof Dorfwirt as Lake Achensee is stunning and the area has a lot to offer. There are swimming and spa facilities at the Atoll which are accessible by boat (you can get a weekly pass which costs €89 to use the boats, steam train, 2 ski lifts, entrance to Swarovski world and 10% off Atoll. There are parks, cafes, restaurants, free diving boards and inflatables around the lake and you can hire bikes to cycle around it.

United KingdomGood location with only a 10 minute walk down to the waterfront. Lots of parking available out front, secure bike storage, fantastic restaurant on site which is extremely popular. It's a traditional restaurant with good food, service and a great atmosphere - very buzzy every night.
