The House was build more than 500 years ago but it is very well maintained and clean and looks amazing, the stuff is very friendly the bar downstairs was very good and breakfast was delicious! Very good place for cyclists to stay and in general good place.

Superb service - we were served food and drinks in the garden (sitting under big umbrella) even when heavy rain thunderstorm hit the place. Really appreciate all staff in contact with guests was AUSTRIAN and speaking German (what was normal 5 years ago starts to be appreciated now). Great food.

The hotel is really charming in a beautiful village, surrounded with green nature. The rooms are very spacious, clean, nicely decorated with comfortable beds. We also had a balcony. The best part is the restaurant - we recommend club sandwich dish but also the vegetarian dishes are very inventive and tasty. Daniela is a master chef!

Our room was really nice. It had a private balcony overlooking the garden. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet, so we slept really well. We ate at the restaurant, and it was some of the best food we had on our trip. The breakfast was also good. We used the bicycle storage, which was a good size.

one of my favourite stops on the Danube bike trail… lovely historic house with flowery courtyard dating back to the times when navigating the river was life threatening and one needed guidance from the ship navigator or Schiffsmeister… this is the man who then built the house… good food and courteous staff

The cleaning of the room was not too bad but also not perfect, which I find a pity because otherwise my stay would have been perfect. Luckily I had a silk sleeping bag wich made it up for the night.

Great outdoor and indoor restaurant area and nice breakfast in a fantastic location for biking or relaxing during the weekend. The hotel is located in a village that has no much to see or to do, however it is literally 5-10 minutes walking distance away from the Donau river where swimming, fishing, jogging and relaxing is possible, I loved it! The hotel is also located aprox 15 minutes by bus away from Grein -which is totally worth to visit (the bus stop is right in from of the hotel) or one hour walking by the shore of the river. Hotels in Grein are a bit more expensive so this was a great middle-term solution. The sleeping room seemed to have been recently renovated, it was a bit hot but fine. The hotel is run by its owner, a very nice and friendly person.

No AC so had to open the window, which gets all the restaurant noise - no no sleeping until late. Older style TV - no wireless connectivity or apps like Netflix.

Room was very small with view on a wall and was not according to the pictures of the room I booked. But for a stay of 1 night doable. Dinner in the restaurant nothing special, parts of the burger were burned, little amount of salad.

Just too many stairs up to the room through tiny corridor with heavy motorcycle baggage, however it has been compensated by all the benefits mentioned in the like section.

However the guy doing the serving at Theo Restaurant was quite bad . First of all He didnt have me back all the rest that was supposed. Played for a Beer 4.70e ,gave him 10.70e and he returned with 5. As If he assumed i would tip him . Also when my Friends payed for their Dinner he Simply asked for a tip . Also Theo prices on The Menü didnt corespund with what he asked . In Theo Menü a club sandwich was 15e He asked for 17 Same with my Friends Order. Also for 80+ Euro per night i expected a way better breakfast.the breakfast was quite poor . I realised the owner really tried but This all small Things added made us not come again

So ,there was a complication with the reservation,we booked two rooms ,however somehow Just one was booked when WE arrived there . There was a lady i think the owner who helped and solved the Problem swiftly. She also cooked for us dinner that was quite delicios . Rooms where cleen ,so was bathroom

Local shop closed too early but understanble due the size of the village.

For me was a stop on my trip and just for a day, but if you want to escape from the 'concrete jungle' of a metropolitan city this is a place to be. Stunning views on the shore of Danube. I wish I had more days around there but is a place I put on my map I will revisit not just passing by.
