No air conditioning in our rooms, and it got hot

Charming traditional Austrian guesthouse. Staff very good. Breakfast was good, standard continental foods. No significant traffic noise at the back of the building. Bus terminal and cable car just over the road. Great base to explore Salzburg, Berchesgaden, and further south.

Great revelation!!! Nice hotel, well-kept, restaurant decorations, everything at the highest level. Great communication to the surrounding areas and Salzburg, buses no. 5 and 25 run every 15 minutes, and the stop is about 200 m. from the hotel. I am very pleased with my stay at Gasthof Schorn. I will be happy to recommend it to my friends, very nice service. I had a beautiful view of the mighty Untersbeg mountain and the cable car, walking from the hotel to the cable car station about 7 minutes away. One day I took a train trip to Innsbruck, beautiful weather, huge Alps. Warm regards to the hosts of Gasthof Schorn, the Ziegler family. Herzliche Grüße Familie Ziegler :)

When we arrived on the Sunday evening all facilities were closed. Also Monday & Tuesday so we had to travel to Salzburg or Unterberg Hotel across the road.

The breakfast was fine but lacking in some choice of cooked products. I found myself eating exactly the same every day.

We had a fantastic time at the hotel and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel's location near the public bus station made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The staff was extremely helpful, providing us with guidance on the must-visit spots in Salzburg. The interior of our room was excellent, with great attention to detail, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Salzburg

I loved this hotel! My room was fabulous (room 14), with views of the mountains. It is very close (4 minute walk) to the cable car and I enjoyed my trip up to the snowy mountain. I travelled to Germany and then Austria for the Unity Day and Saturday parkrun. I spent 2 nights in the hotel, but I packed so much in, I barely had time to enjoy this lovely hotel. There was a vast and varied amount for breakfast. Staff were accommodating, friendly and I can recommend this hotel. I definitely want to return, with my husband and spend more time here. It is just 15 minutes from Hellbrunn Schloss (home of Hellbrunn parkrun) and 30 minutes to the main bus/train station in Salzburg.

It was very warm and aircon would have been useful as the room was over a busy junction and became quite noisy with the windows open.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant meals were very good and the Lachsforelle was excellent! Breakfast was adiquate. The staff were friendly and very helpful both in the hotel and restaurant.

It’s located right at a busy intersection so there is traffic noise throughout the day, also when sitting in the restaurant outside. At night it’s quiet.

Very nice room with a good view on the mountains. Comfortable beds. Very friendly and attentive staff. Perfect location if you want to enjoy the nature but also reach Salzburg easily (30min by bus)

Great hotel in great location. Handy for buses to Salzburg, right next to cable car to Untersburg and short drive to Eagles nest . Staff were friendly , rooms clean and breakfast was excellent. A bonus, there was a lift.

Local restaurants close on strange and unpredictable days ("Ruhe tag"). On sundays all shops are closed so one needs to plan ahead to make sure groceries are available for cooking.

Stayed in modern apartment building opposite the hotel. Very clean, modern and roomy apartment. Excellent AC and large bathroom with separate walk-in shower as well as spacious bath. Plenty of storage space. Underground parking helped to keep our car cool in the hot summer conditions. Located just a short drive from Salzburg center and a short walk from the local cable car that takes you up to the local mountain top providing amazing views over Salzburg and its environment.

Our designated parking spot was continuously used by another car (local license plate so probably belonging to the owners?). While there were enough alternate places this did lead to some confusion with other guests.

The blankets were way too heavy for the summer, and pillows too high for a comfortable sleep.

Location was perfect. It has an amazing view of the Untersberg, it’s far away from the tourist crowds and yet close enough to be in Salzburg city centre in 20 minutes. Amazing breakfast and super friendly staff. The rooms are spacious. I was alone but I imagine going as a couple would be very romantic. Additionally, there are numerous hiking routes right under your nose. The visit was worth every cent.
