Too short time we spent there

We recently spent five nights at Gasthof Steinbichler, and it was an absolutely lovely experience. The hotel is beautifully located on the eastern shore of Lake Attersee, offering breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. It’s a peaceful and picturesque setting that immediately makes you feel relaxed. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and very well maintained. Our room was comfortable and cozy, and waking up to the stunning natural scenery each morning was a highlight. We especially enjoyed taking early morning walks in the beautiful areas around the hotel — such a peaceful way to start the day. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality really added to the experience. Breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning, with a nice variety of options. We particularly appreciated the freshly baked bread made by the staff, which added a personal touch. Dinner was also very good, offering a great selection of Austrian dishes in a cozy and traditional atmosphere. The location is ideal for exploring the Salzkammergut region, with plenty of activities nearby — from hiking and swimming to visiting nearby towns like Bad Ischl and Gmunden. Overall, we loved every minute of our stay and would absolutely return. Gasthof Steinbichler is a place we’ll remember fondly and will definitely be our first choice next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended!

Private beach is a bit small

Excellent location with a beautiful lake and mountain view. Hotel restaurant can serve both breakfast and dinner with good quality. There is a private beach in walking distance for swimming.

This property was very clean, well located and had many appreciated Austrian elements. The food was very delicious, the staff/service was above and beyond. The private jetty/beach was also great. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a wonderful time during our short stay. The rooms are beautifully furnished, everything is very clean and comfortable. The views around the hotel are breathtaking! Breakfast is fresh consisting of bread, cheese, meats, eggs and yogurt with different toppings.

Lovely hotel that’s super modern with Immaculate fittings and furnishings - one of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever visited with stunning views. Very attentive staff and pets welcome. Good quality food and breakfast on a patio overlooking the lake!

Cosy hotel in nice and quiet location. We have enjoyed good dinner and breakfast in well designed restaurant with terrace. Well recommended 👍👌♥️

Very nice staff, upgraded the room for free as we were out of the busy season

everything was great, unbelievable location, mesmerizing views, friendly and homey service, they were extra helpful, breakfast was delicious. shower was great!!! much needed after a long trip, loved that it had a sauna and pool, also that the food prices were not crazy expensive even tho they are pretty much the only option when you dont have a car with you. they were also kind enough to allow us to check out much later than we were supposed to because they knew how far we were coming from. they also drove us down to the bus stop and saved us a good 30 minute walk with lugagge.

how far it is from the bus stop, it took us like 40 minutes to walk up the mountain with our lugagge, thankfully they were extremely nice and drove us down after we checked out.

The breakfast was very nice. There is a restaurant on site where we also had our dinner.
