Clean, comfortable rooms with amazing location right on the river. Good breakfast and reasonably priced dinner.

Non smoking room smelled like cigarettes! Late check was difficult, no amenities at night. Breakfast was subpar and staff wasn’t the friendliest.

A little corner of paradise accessed through a hidden lane (advised to drive in day light) right by the Danube. It’s a place to relax, enjoy the silence, the view and the local hospitality. Spacious room, comfortable beds, small menu but delicious local food (kitchen only open from 6-7.30) very reasonable priced, all the facilities for bike storage, car park and amazing views of Danube and surroundings. Very good WiFi but no phone reception (you can get signal a short walk away). Enjoy the peace

The rooms and facilities were nice. Lovely and clean. We had a lovely view over the Danube. We ate at the restaurant and the food was quite nice. The staff work hard to make your experience a good one.

It's in a quiet location with not many options for dining after your days ride, however the food and beer were fine. Nice quiet spot.

Great location - on the bike path from Passau to Vienna. Very good value for money!

The hotel is located by the Danube River with an amazing sunrise view. We arrived by bike while cycling from Passau to Vienna. One thing to keep in mind: dinner is served until 19:30, and there are no supermarkets nearby, so plan accordingly if you don’t have your own food. Dinner was very tasty, and the restaurant was lovely. The breakfast buffet in the morning had a nice variety of food. If I repeat this trip, I would definitely stay here again!

Gasthof Zum heiligen Nikolaus gets a really exceptional staff crew, welcoming you in an exceptional and quiet place in front of the Danube. Exceptional place, quiet for you, good Austrian cooked food, really nice and cleanup rooms, no noise, you can also repair your bike, charge it and park it in a secured bike garage. Big Thank you for this really good time passed

Location and staff

The rooms were quite hot and they have no AC (that's ok..), but why not a simple air fan?? Because there is not an air fan we have to open the windows and... because of that (and even with the lights off), the mosquitos get in. So, why not installing some mosquito nets?? The hotel provides some "old generation" mosquito electric repellent that did not work (the mosquitos were happily bitting all night). So my advise to the hotel: either buy some air fans (it's not a huge investment) or install some mosquito nets.

The location is excellent if you go by bike - you stay directly on the bike track at the river. The personel is very kind and helpfull. Very tasty breakfast and dinner. Enough space in the room. Easy way to load your e-bike - you can do it where the bikes are kept overnigjt.

It was easy to find and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed our evening meal, which was prepared quickly and was good value for money

There was a group of people chatting loudly below, but this stopped around 10pm. Unfortunately they moved into the hotel and were quite loud.

Very close to the Donau River, between the montains with an amazing view! Just a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

The road to reach the hotel is very narrow, only fits 1 car at the time. The breakfast could have more fruits and local special to raise the experience.

Nothing. It is excellent value for money. Clean, tidy and organized.

The location was wonderfull, next to the Danube shore. It was accesible to the bicycle trails too. There’s a garage where you can leave your bicycle, providing chargers for the ebikes. It locks during nighttime. Between the building and the river, there’s also a place for camping.

There weren’t many options for the food the restaurant provided for lunch and dinner.
