How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bathroom light was just a small light above the mirror, which made the shower quite dark.
Parking is a bit limited, but I got lucky and grabbed one when I saw someone moved. The room is a bit uninspiring, but okay.. Breakfast was typical, but again okay. You get what you pay for, and this was the cheaper end of the hotels in the location.

Bathroom drains were awful and very smelly but it’s an old style hotel that is rustic
Great location in Hallien. Limited with a beer festival we didn’t need to go elsewhere. Perfect stop over

It's very close to the train station and also I was offered a free travel card for the whole district of Salzburg. Excellent staff.

No climate system and the room at the sunny side was too hot. Billows are too soft.
Mattresses are very good. Breakfast was delicilous.

No air conditioning but there was a fan. Bathroom was very small but it was functional. A bit expensive overall but the Salzburg area is generally expensive.
Really good location just around from the train station so very easy to get into Salzburg and other surrounding attractions. Hotel was well presented and rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the younger staff members.

Only criticism was the room didn't have AC, so being a town centre location it was a little noisy overnight with windows open. But not to the point where sleep was interrupted.
Great sized room, parking on site, lift, plenty of choice for breakfast. Had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant.

No complaints. For this level of hotel and price, you get a basic, but clean, hotel room. Don’t expect any extras in the room. No kettle, coffee machine, or toiletries provided.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice vintage decor.

Rooms facing the street are quite loud, also in one of the rooms the bed was so soft I had a tough time sleeping.
Staff is very friendly, breakfast was great. Regarding the rooms it's tough to rate the hotel- I have been there twice, the first room was a bit old, but very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The second room looked great, bathroom apparently freshly renovated, however, the bed was awfully soft and the room was quite noisy. So it can go either way I guess.

Airconditioning would be a real plus, rooms were warm and you cannot open a window during the evening/night because the hotel lies to a busy road and you hear a lot of noise

No air-conditioning - but fans available.
Comfortable family guest house. Perfect location for visitors to performances on Perner-Insel for the Salzburg Festival - plenty of on-site parking and easy walking distance to venue. Good buffet breakfast. Helpful staff.

The hotel is very dated. Beware in summer the rooms are not air conditioned and as it is by located on a busy road if you have the windows open you can’t sleep because of the noise. It seems it is mostly used by tradesmen working away from home so the carpark gets filled by vans in around 5-6 pm (being tradesmen they get up very early too.
It was in the right location for an overnight stay

The rooms where very small and soo warm, even hot, not possible to sleep even, so that was a big bummer..
Location was good and the restaurant was very nice.
