How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

2 out of 3 room cards didn't work - but this is only a mild annoyance.
Great location - 10 min by foot from the main train station. Decent breakfast (not a huge variety but definitely enough to fuel you for the day). Clean and quite rooms.

Space is tight in the room itself, but appreciated the abundant hooks to hang things.
Request for a quiet room was accommodated ... much appreciated. Convenient to the train station and transport to old town was easy.

It would have been nice to have coffee in our room. There is a kettle and we were able to make tea before breakfast.
The breakfast was excellent. As we eat gluten free it really set us up for the day, particularly as it was hard to find gluten free at the sights. We appreciated being given a free bus pass for use on the city buses throughout our stay. It also took us back to the airport. As a transport enthusiast, my husband was in seventh heaven. He had buses trams and trains to watch from our window

There is only about 12 parking spaces and so likely you won't be able to get one when you check in ending up parking on road. Picked this hotel because of this feature.
Hotel was clean, bedroom was good for a family with the bunk beds. Bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast in the morning.

The toliet is not good. It is not a regular toliet. It is for the guest who use wheel chair. Although the toliet is big, it does not have curtain in the shower area. The shower water will go to the ground of the closet and the water will gather around the closet. After taking shower, the floor is all wet. We stayed for 2 nights. The floor of the toliet is wet in this period. We booked the room for 3 persons. May be the room for 2 person will have regular toliet.
The location of this apartment is good and it is close to the main train station of Salzburg. The train station is in walking distance. The apartment has washing machine and drying machine but need to pay. Washing charges is around Euro 4.5 and the drying charge is around Euro 4.0. The size of the room is good for us. The beds are OK.

Would have loved a fridge in room, but was able to store in reception.
Staff were super helpful, the room was great for family to share and location great for busses into old town. Also loved that, as a tourist, you get pass for public transport.

Travelled into Salzburg by train. Hotel is 2 minute walk from train station with all our bags and kids. Lovely A/c in the heat. Facilities were really good, particularly for us the opportunity to wash and dry clothes. Very easy to catch the bus into the old town which is 5 minute journey away and absolutely stunning.

The tiniest negative was that the shower floors were really slippery and all 3 of my kids slipped and fell when they each showered. Some kind of anti slip would be good there.
It was wonderful. So comfortable and thoughtful touches everywhere.
