This is not the host fault and could not be controlled, but the guest next door sat on the balcony outside our window talking loudly at 5:20 am!

Haus Josef is nettled up to the mountains in the beautiful mountain town. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The added bonus was having a balcony with vibrate flower boxes and with a mountain view. The host was specticular!!!!! Breakfast was delicious!

We had a window looking on the other room balcony.

The room was very spacious and cozy. There was a big assortment of tea in the room and small sweet surprise. Sound insulation is on the highest lever, you even don’t hear what is going on in your bathroom. Bathroom is big with qualitative facilities. The late arrival was not a problem.

Very friendly host. The house was clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast, walking distance to the village high street, train station and ski buses.

Only downside is the location as right on the edge of town. But can catch ski bus from round corner or I hired a locker at the top of the Penken so wasn’t carrying my skis and was walking back in my trainers.

It was a very cozy and lovely stay. Everything was perfect. We really enjoyed our time there. Breakfast was also really good, specially the scrambled eggs. Location is convenient and we were easily able to find it. Room hqd a beautiful balcony with nice view!

The bed in the double room is a bit short for someone 6 foot plus.

Lovely hosts. Nice breakfast. Restaurants and bars within 5 minute walk. Penkenbahn gondola 12minute walk but ski bus stop just around the corner.

It's hard to imagine a more welcoming host or a more scrupulously clean haus. Every day the room was cleaned and tidied and the bathroom literally sparkled! The balcony with mountain view was a bonus as we had sun on 3 afternoons. The room was large and had its own tea making facilities with a range of teas. Lovely touch. The ski room has great boot warmers. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and the eggs were cooked to perfection every time. It's in a quiet location but easy walk to the centre and about 200 metres to the ski bus which runs every 15 minutes. There is no sauna or wellness but the municipal one is good and only 10 minutes walk away

Very highly recommended. Family-run, traditional charming pension and Christine is a lovely host. Very clean. Our cosy room with kettle and selection of teas was serviced everyday. Good heating and lots of hot water and powerful shower. Hair dryer also provided. Excellent plentiful breakfast with choice of cereal, bread, fruit, yoghurt, boiled or scrambled egg, continental meats and cheese, plus a variety of jams and spreads, orange juice, tea and coffee. More than enough to set you up for a good days skiing. On the outskirts of town, with the benefit of being in a quiet and peaceful location, within a short walk to the ski bus stop and only 12 minutes walk to the bars and restaurants in the main centre of Mayrhofen.
