We are motorcycle riders, care for cleanes, covered parking and location, and this hotel fully provides this. Breakfast was great. We were off season, good value for money.

This is a wonderful, modern hotel with great charm and a wonderful staff. It is ideally located in the village center yet close to the lake and cable car. The rooms are comfortable and the buffet breakfast is outstanding. Look forward to my next stay.

Beautiful room with a sitting area. Really clean & smart decor. The food tasted good & fresh. The family who run this hotel work hard & take pride in their business. The transport links were great with free local buses using our Achensee Card from the hotel. Can't fault them on anything.

Beatiful hotel, nice breakfast, very close to the Rofan cable car and to the lake. Right next to the supermaket. Peaceful and amazing.

There was no air-conditioning. It was very hot and with the windows open it was very loud with vehicle driving past. Some of the staff at the accociated klingler restaurant were rather unwelcoming.

Very nice hotel in the center of Maurach. The room and the place itself were very clean. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. Everything is near: lake, cable car, bus stop, shops. It was a very nice stay and I will come back there for sure.

No air con could be an issue on exceptionally hot nights. Unfortunate to get a room with car park view.

The best breakfast I had in the area, good selection, helpful staff, plenty of seating indoors and out with great views. The rooms were modern, with quality HansGrohe fittings. Very clean. All properties have 360 views of mountains; only some rooms will have a lake view. Cute little sectioned-off room for work or tv; stable Wi-Fi. Super location near to cable car, buses, cafes, supermarket, sports store & bike hire, steam train and a healthy walk to lake not too steep - recommend for summer stays.

Whilst the property feels solid and seems to have solid concrete floor and insulated walls, I was awoken at 6:30am by constant noise travelling through the hard floors - it seemed like wheels dragged across the floor. It could be the bathroom door, but I suspect baggage wheels on hard floor. Hard heel feet walking by a guest too. A shame because everyone else was very respectable and quiet - I didn’t notice people entering the breakfast room opposite. Also, there is no air-conditioning; yet traffic noise comes before 7am.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful spot, as is nearly every building by Achensee lake. The hotel has prominent position near the junction of roads, easy to spot if arriving by car, taxi, bicycle or foot. There’s basement parking. The reception is small, met by welcoming lady host. Once directed to your room, which all seem spacious, the room was found clean, modern and functional. Modern bathroom with quality HansGrohe fittings. My room had a small study area, with desk and chair within a separated area (the wall/glazing help reduce traffic noise when your windows are shut). All 4 faces of the building give Mountain View’s - mine faced uphill, towards the parking, no balcony. The breakfast was excellent. A good selection. The breakfast room has beautiful views of the mountains and the lake in the far distance, across roof tops; there are the main eating area, a quiet area and outside balcony. In 2023, I found the room competitively priced. Being clean, modern & partially-quiet. I’d consider coming again but seek to get a room on the upper most floor. (See next part of review for areas of improvement) Or avoid peak seasons (summer and winter) and instead choose quiet periods.
