Room was beautiful. Very comfortable and quaint. My wife and I loved the atmosphere of the hotel and the staff was wonderful and very helpful. We would highly recommend The Schwalbe. The breakfast was more than ample and the cooks made your eggs fresh every morning. We would definitely return on our next visit to Vienna. Also, the location made it easy to get around via different available modes.

With the window open it's quite loud. It's a little bit too soft mattress but it's a matter of personal preferences.

Spacious room, nice service, good breakfast (possibility of getting fresh scrambled eggs on request), separate toilet in room. Slippers for guests in the room were a nice surprise. The hotel has its own style.

There is no AC. It wasn't a big problem but if it's very hot outside, maybe not so ideal.

We loved the personal touches at Hotel Schwalbe. The place is run by a lovely family and the attention you get is exceptional. Our room was spacious and bright and there was even a little kitchen with gorgeous dishes, vintage glasses and a coffee maker. Breakfast is lovely too, don't miss out on it. The owner is around pretty much every day and if you feel like a little chat, she'll tell you about the history of this charming Hotel and give you tipps on where to go.

The area is quiet, not touristic. The connection with the centre is easy both by tram and metro. The room is large, clean, and well equipped. The hotel has very nice collection items that show its history.

It’s a wonderful family-run hotel with warm enteriors and welcoming staff. Metro station is very close, so the city center is reachable within 20 minutes.

Sound proof could be a bit better but it’s inevitable for properties with some age. But it didn’t bother us too much!

Love it!! Retro, classic and clean. I spent five very laidback night here. It seems to be operated by a small crew of very sweet ladies, who also prepares the nicest breakfast and does the cleaning exceptionally speedy. Thank you all for providing me with such a warm and memorable stay, I had the best new year holiday for my first visit to Vienna.

The only thing that I dont like is the pillow, too thin for my liking

The room was big, well actually maybe its more we can call an apt. It has 2 bedrooms, separate room toilet and shower. My 12yo daughter in her own bedroom and she was so pleased. Staffs are super friendly and mostly they can speak English. Location is also easy to reach from the airport. Just use City Airport Train from Airport until Landstraße, change to U3 to Ottakring direction and you are off until the last station. Walk for about 400m, you reach the hotel. Very easy. And when we wanted to walk around the city, just take the U3 and you are good to go to the main city center, old city center ect. Breakfast is traditional German breakfast, with Brötchen, Schinken, eggs, yogurt, juices, tea or coffee. Its so homey there. It feels like coming to Oma's house with some antique furniture around. When we left, we also got a little souvenir, a snowglobe!! I recommend this hotel to anyone who will go to vienna. You will not regret it.

The location was great for us when visiting family in the direct area. It was easy enough to get to the centre of town by public transport. The hotel was run by very friendly ladies. Breakfast was very good. We appreciated how quiet the hotel was at night. Very comfortable room, and the public areas were eclectic, interesting and quirky. We would definitely go back.
