How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No toothpaste and bath sandal. Hairdryer is rentable for 20 euros, which is returned when you bring it back to the reception.

Everything was in line with the standard Ibis experience, except for the bathroom, which was rather unusual. This room is more suitable for solo travellers or couples; if staying with children or others, it may feel somewhat awkward, as the bathroom offers little privacy.

These are the things I didn't like about the room: 1. When you take a shower the shower base fills up within a few seconds. So by the time you take a shower the shower base and the room are flooded with water. I went down to the reception and told them about the issue and they changed my room but it was the same issue in the second room. So makes me think that all the rooms in this hotel have the same terrible shower base and pipe work systems. This is a major health and safety hazard. When the room is flooded with water, you could slip and fall or accidentally have cables touching the water and get electrocuted!!!! 2. The toilet is separate from the shower and it has a thin door with no door lock. Also the light in the toilet is on an automatic system it turns on and off every few seconds so if your sitting in the toilet doing your business you have to keep waving your hands to keep the lights on. 3. The room has a main light and at the bed side there is also light next to the pillow. If you want to sleep and keep a light on then its very disturbing as both are too bright and there is no way to dim the light to the level you want. 4. The hand-wash base is soo small. When you was your face you will end up getting water all over the place. 5. There is a note over the hand-wash base saying the water is drinkable but there is no cup in the room to use and if you use a water bottle then the base is very small and you cant even get water into the bottle. So very pointless!!! 6. The location is okay but if your looking to see tourist attraction places then this hotel is a bit far. Also there is a main train/bus station but again its about 15+ minutes walk. 7. There was no hairdryer in the room.

Verified reviewThe location is perfect for families with children wanting to visit Prater. It is close to the underground and well connected with the rest of the town. If you walk towards the Danube, you will cross the river and admire the wonderful church of St. Francis. The hotel itself is basic with clean sheets, clean room. Those who need more, should reserve more fancy and expensive hotel. We did not have breakfast.
The pillows could have been better.

Verified reviewWell, nothing spectacular - it's a decent space for a short work trip. Standard small room, decent bed ... basic things nothing fancy. Location is good, very close to metro and rail network.
I'm not clear how an open shower area and a closed toilet design can be authorized; why can't they be in the same location? They also want you to be eco-friendly, so there's a large lecture on the wall, but guess what? You can't even properly drink water because there isn't a cup or glass available and the tap is so strangely shaped that you can't fill any water bottles. How foolish of you to have to purchase water from outside!

Breakfast could be a little more varied with bread selections and cheeses and meats and maybe scrambled eggs and sausages. Room was good just that the light in the toilet turns off too fast and no small table available.
