A Hotel in the beautiful former monastery of Spital am Pyhrn. A very friendly and wonderful Team. The food was very good as well.

No variety of pillows (mine was too soft), but it's a matter of personal preferences.

Unique atmosphere of a historical building. Location is peaceful. Tasty breakfast. Nice staff. There is a supermarket in a couple minutes of walk, but it works till 6:30 pm.

Booked this hotel as we had driven 750 kilometers that day and website said there was a restaurant. It was not available so we had to drive to next village to eat another 14 kilometers and we were tired. We had stayed in Hotel over the road last year but that hadn't an evening restaurant and was much cheaper which was the reason we booked this one

The restaurant was shut even though it wasn't that late and so they were serving Pizza from reception. Sadly the staff member was running the bar, the reception and serving the food which made check-in quite slow.

Location is beautiful up amongst the hills with the low lying cloud. The travel from the motorway to this hotel is of good proximity too. Rooms were clean and a little quirky in a lovely building with nice grounds and local village. Breakfast had a good selection and was laid out well.

It would be nice to have a fridge in the room. In the heat, it would be nice to cool my drinks. There is also no air conditioning, but for those who go on excursions and walks in the morning and return to the room only in the evening - this is not a problem, sleeping at night is very comfortable even without the air conditioning. Keep in mind that there is no way of contacting the reception from your room, so in case of emergencies you should rely only on yourself.

The hotel is like something from a fairy tale - an old building next to the church, which is surrounded by mountains. Thanks to the thick walls of the hotel, it seems that there is no one else next to you, we had a great sleep in silence. Very tasty and high-quality breakfast. The staff is friendly.

When the restaurant is closed , like on Monday the bistro could have better choice of food than just pizza . We were offered free passes for rail to Wurzeralm , however the reception was not able to produce the printed pass this was a bit disappointing as we lost time in which we could just hike the alm instead of waiting for the printout which never happened

The architecture of an old monastery add extra element of peace to the place .

It was mentioned you could book half pension and that there was a restaurant in the hotel. When we came we could not have dinner because the restaurant was closed. This should be mentioned !

This was not the first time I stayed at this hotel. The hotel is managed professionally. I like the location. Spital am Pyhrrn is also a good base also for visiting the surrounding region.

It’s pet friendly, but our dog wasn’t allowed at breakfast. We had to sit outside, if it was cold or rainy it would have been a problem.

The atmosphere of the place, which is very peaceful. Margarete helped us so well which was very touching for us. Food is really good as well. All staffs in this hotel are really professional and kind.

Price and facilities in the room. There was no fridge and no handwash in the bathroom/toilet. Also nothing available in the town around.
