And right so; the place has breathtaking views over the mountains, is extremely quiet and peaceful and has a very instagrammable interior. There is a bathtub placed in front of one of the windows overlooking the valley. There are two large windows in the roof that can be opened with the push of a button, and close miraculously by themselves as it starts to rain. In the garden there is a very well placed little sauna for you to use. Indeed a true find! But there is one thing I feel most of the enthusiastic reviewers don’t point out clear enough: the house is situated on a very steep alm that can only be reached by foot. So, you park your car half way up the hill, at the owner’s place, and walk up a very, very steep hill for some 15 or 20 minutes to reach the apartment. When we were staying there, in June of ’25, the temperatures were around 30 degrees Celsius. I can assure you, those trips up the hill were no walk in the park! These logistics are a very noteworthy aspect to consider in my opinion. So, to conclude: The upsides: • Excellent, 10 out of 10, views from the house and the deck • Silence. You literally only hear the birds chirping • The sauna (we didn’t use) and the modern, fancy interior • The fireplace inside (we didn’t use) and the bbq outside (we did use) and plenty fire wood The downsides: • The steep climb and the fact you have to carry your groceries (and your occasional bottle of wine) up the steep hill. • You really, really have to overthink what you need in the house, and what you need to bring on your trip. If you forget something crucial, you’re it! • The mattresses of the bed have seen better days.
