We stayed in the chalets "uptown", the hotel "downtown" is closed in summer. Clean, new, spacious.

No facilities, nothing except the rooms, not even a reception or a common room. "Pyjama breakfast" meant that breakfast was brought to the room: no chance to share the time with your friends/family in the other rooms. Since it's not buffet a lot of food you don't eat is wasted... Price a bit too much for what you get

Cozy chalet with great view in the valley. Breakfast was very delicious and got each day delivered to our room. The landlord was available anytime for our needs.

It had everything you need to have a disconnecting trip in the mountains. The sauna was a very big plus. The room was big and very clean and the personnel was super kind and attentive. On top of that, the area is gorgeous. The hikes are astonishing. The activities in the villages are very relaxed during May, nothing compared to Winter. But it was actually what we were looking for.

The location in Stuben is great if your focus is on skiing. The reason we booked Mondschein was because we stayed there three years ago and our stay back then was really good. But…

A few things missing in the room in the Chalet. No Remote for the TV in the bedroom, a faulty lamp not working and the bunkbed (could work for children) is not a full size bed. Not really for adults even though sold with that intention. The first day we did not get breakfast for all persons, had to notify and chase. The dinner was at best ok, significantly less quality compared to three years ago. We had to pay for the tap water one evening when we did not order wine. Small things like this really take the score down and causes annoyance, especially since breakfast and dinner are included but apparently that does not include tap water.

Nice staff, big rooms in Chalet and super elevator to ski slope.

This hotel was more expensive than comfortable. The room in the old part of Hotel was small and for sure didn't meet 4 star room requirements and size.

The personnel is outstanding. They are kind, knowledgeable and always ready to help. Location and room were very good. Ski depot are is good

We spent 7 days. Food served for dinners was a disaster. No appetizers, no fish. We had salad from an underwhelming salad bar (with 5-6 choices), a main dish, and dessert. No choice for the main dish (except meat or vegetarian), no choice for the dessert. To add insult to injury, the food was bad and in the best case tasteless. The sauna area is acceptable but soap was missing, one sauna room was dark for the whole period we were there., water was collecting in one of the showers

I loved the location, the staff and the oldy woldy beauty of the property. It was a typical Austrian getaway.

This place is perfect for a couple getaway. Close to the hiking trails, it provides all necessary facilities for a rest afterwards. The room has a spacious balcony with a view at the valley. The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. Very much recommended!

The chalet was very charming. It was wonderful to have our own sauna and fireplace. The small kitchen was also a plus for cooking something in the evening. The chalet/room is definitely spacious enough. The view was amazing as well! We were very satisfied with our stay, and the communication with Nadja was excellent.

The only point of criticism we have is that the breakfast could have been more varied. Since the hotel was closed, we couldn’t have a breakfast buffet. Instead, breakfast was delivered to the chalet each morning, which was actually really nice! However, it was the same breakfast every day, so a bit more variety would definitely add extra points!

We had a very nice weekend escape in the Mondschein Chalet. Nadja, our contact person, was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with a great mountain view, very comfortably filled with all you needed. The sauna in the room was a nice plus and the breakfast brought everyday was the cherry on top. You have to keep in mind that during off-season there is not much you can do around, but that is definitely to be expected (as the name suggests) and great for some time off.

    Location, view

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far below what I expected from a 4-star establishment. From the moment I arrived, there were multiple issues that made my short stay very uncomfortable. Firstly, the room code provided did not work, and it took around ten minutes of waiting and a phone call to finally gain access to the room with the help of someone that came over to open for us. Upon entering, the room had a foul smell, and there were open bottles of wine left in the bar. I informed the reception and send over pictures asking to be allocated another room that is prepared to receive guests and left to have dinner so that they have plenty of time to make this happen. The second room provided was no better. There were no slippers, the remote control did not work, and the room was clearly not properly prepared. Another remote control was provided as for slippers I was told they ran out and the new delivery was delayed. In the morning, a bad smell was coming from the bathroom, similar to a canalization odor. Additionally, the socket under the radiator was not covered, which is very risky for guests with children. The Nespresso machine provided had no brand coffee cups, and the machine itself had no support for the cup. The bed had no sheet, only a mattress cover, which was not soft to touch. Moreover, despite the hotel mentioning that there are complimentary toiletries, there were none provided—no toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton pads, etc. Additionally, the room was not soundproof as advertised, and I was woken up by noise from the neighbors. The room also had a connection door, which was not mentioned anywhere in the booking details. Not everyone is comfortable with this feature. I requested to change rooms but received no response until the next morning, when I was given a late apology.
