How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. The room is quite solid. Although you can see the cobwebs, the outside is very sloppy and untidy. Cobwebs all around. You can tell the motel is infested with flies and sloppy. The environment is uncomfortable. There is no sloppy furniture on the terrace. The chairs are old and worn.

If you are afraid of spiders, check in during daylight, there are spider webs around hotel (NOT in room). (They clean them in morning) In one of 2 numbers there was odor from plumming

Unfortunately, our stay was not pleasant. We paid extra for a room with a lake view, but ended up on the ground floor with no view at all, as trees completely blocked it. The room was rather dirty and not well-maintained. Since the hotel is close to the highway and the doors let a lot of noise through, it was very difficult to sleep at night. Overall, quite disappointing.

It was funny that to get a kettle for hot water, you had to leave a €30 deposit. The price doesn't quite match the quality.
Just for a quick overnight stay, nothing really good about it.

No breakfast available. No kettle in the room despite description. Floors could be cleaner.

Not very clean (dirty floor, still empty beer cans in the trash…), a bit noisy because of the street, only german programs on TV…

Aircon didn't cool much, vending machines didn't work, not many options for food or drinks nearby and taxi into town quite expensive.

The surprises started when we tried to get our pre-booked breakfast. It turned out that the breakfast consisted of couple of buns with some ham and cheese and few cut peppers. When asked for tea the only option we were given was a green one. Also, there are only 2 or 3 tables in the reception area so if there are more people who ordered breakfast you either have to take it an have it in your room or wait for other people to finish.
Our stay at the Motel Verde was a bag of mixed emotions. The motel room price was in our range, the location was close enough to Vienna and the room itself was clean and a had a decent bathroom.

Difference between check-in and out on the official website and booking, a little noisier due to the road. Harder to drain the water in the sink.
Possibility to accommodate with dogs, easy check-in.

Shitty breakfast not worth it. The bread on the second day was so hard it could not break it in half. On sunday we only got 3 slices of ham and cheese, butter and one egg. You can only get very shitty coffee. In the room you can hear everything and it’s was super cool.
Great location for the dogs, next there are many walking paths and also dog park nearby. The room is nice, the bathroom is big and nice but you can hear everything🙃. The parking is nice.

There is a lot of road noise here. Walking to the accommodation via the outdoor terrace is not comfortable in the winter.

Beds were too narrow/small and too soft. Pillows awful. Very close to the road, noise is there unless you completely close the windows.

For almost €100 per night, we had a few more expectations. The pillows seemed cheap, you could barely feel something under your head. The Aircon stopped working at some point, couldn't figure out why. A mini fridge would be a huge improvement, as some people have food prepared for the next day's trip on the evening before, or leftover food from the road, that without being kept cool will go bad...
The room was clean, had Aircon, bathroom was big, probably a bit too big in comparison to the room itself. It's the perfect place to stay at if you're in transit, as it's close to the highway; we also chose it because we were travelling with a pet. Receptionist was friendly.
