The street was a little noisy at times.

The owners, the staff and the atmosphere in the house was lovely. The breakfast buffet was great too. The rooms are rather basic but very clean. The house is charming.

It was all lovely. But perhaps a kettle in the room would be nice.

We loved the private beachside garden and terrace by the lake - which is about 5 mins walk from the hotel, and just for use of hotel guests. There were plenty of sun loungers, paddle boats, a rowing boat and two pedalos, all for guests to use for free. We spent a fab afternoon swimming and paddle boarding on the lake, what a treat! And there was a fridge with cold drjn ohs for guests. We had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the gardens and mountains and it was lovely and quiet with comfy beds. The staff on reception and at breakfast were really kind and helpful.

Be prepared for an early start to the day if you have the window open at night, since traffic noise from the road will wake you up

Very nice hotel with great view from our lake facing terracce. Great breakfast buffet and friendly and helpful staff. The lake bathing area belonging to the hotel is fantastic, with free acceess to stand-up paddle boards, rowing boat and pedal boat. A serve yourself refrigerator with beer, wine and soft drinks is also available.

A fridge in the room would have been amazing, but considering everything else, we did not need a fridge to make our stay memorable.

Cozy, family owned hotel at the gorgeous Millstatt Lake. We loved learning about its history from the many pictures and memories spread around the hotel, the staff were superb and it’s the most pet-friendly hotel we have ever stayed at. We had a wonderful time!

The main road next to the hotel means you have to keep the windows closed for the night, but there’s no air conditioning in the room, so that’s an unlucky combination.

The private lake access is fantastic. Everyone was super kind and helpful. Cleanliness was perfect.

So sad that it is on the highway. At night the traffic goes down to almost nothing but you are aware os of the noise all day long. Sigh.

Breakfast was a real treat. Very well stocked with a variety of items and if you wanted they would cook you eggs. The beach experience is wonderful. We even went over int he rain. So clean and well maintained and even though it was cold water other clients enjoyed a swim in the lake. Fun boats and peddle boats. Excellent chaise lounges and umbrellas.

The Nikolasch family was very welcoming, kind and helpful. The breakfast, proposing fruits, different types of ham and cheese, different types of bread, different types of fruit juices, etc. was excellent. The situation of the hotel just beside the lake is ideal.

Such a shame that there was no "drinks on the terrace in the evening" or even a special snack to go with an aperitif before heading out to dinner. Seems like a real lost opportunity.

Very friendly family keen to help in-obtrusively. Breakfast on the terrace perfect. Dock on the lake is also a perfect relaxation spot.

Nothing as such but if the rooms could come with refrigerator and water kettles it would be great.

It was right in front of the lake making the access super easy. The owners were really hospitable and helpful. The staff were amazing and had great breakfast options.

The room was small but clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast included much choice, including made-to-order eggs. There was secure parking for my bicycle. And finally, the bathhouse and private beach area of Hotel Nikolasch directly at the lake was a dream.

We had a lovely room, and the breakfast on the balcony was great. The hotel design is lovely and its surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed the private beach though it was quite crowded.
